Will all the People that degraded Grison, Pagano and Pep apologize?

The Motto

Recommended Posts

Seems a little patience was all that was needed.  FA signings take some time to get use to a new team, new systems take time to get the kinks out and most of all a brand new culture doesn't happen overnight. Seems all these are coming together well right now.  The whole obsession with what we paid players has always intrigued me.  I know over paying can sometimes hurt the team but we are fine in cap space and it's not my money we are spending.  Plus over paying for FA's is just the nature of the beast it happens.  Our past 2 drafts are also looking much better with how Thornton and Mewhort have improved the OL and Moncrief looks like a future star.  On defense the improvement of Werner this year ,as well as, Hughes has been huge for this defense and Newsome is playing better every game and just from an eye test his game  (not to the same level yet) looks like Mathis’. This doesn’t even mention our UDFA success Kerr, Purifoy, Whalen and Harrison all are contributors.  Our defense has also been rebuilt by FA signings and Walden, Jackson, RJF and Toler are only getting better and where would we be without the trade for Vontae or Cory Redding?  Obviously some of the signings haven’t worked as well as others (Landry and one year WR’s) but that’s to be expected.  Pagano was a first time HC and I am sure it took some time to learn the ways of being a HC (not to mention he missed most all of his first season) but he has done a masterful job this year.   I think his knowledge and philosophy is one of the biggest reasons our Special Teams is so improved. Pep is straight owning people this year and it’s not hard to see.  Overall I am very excited about this time and think the future is very bright.

Really no need for these topics demanding people answer for their criticisms. It's a part of being a fan. And at the time, the criticisms were well deserved. You can't blame people for not seeing results and expecting better. I'm one of the first to admit I was proven wrong, but I don't think anyone should be condemned for having very honest and fair concerns, until proven wrong.

I think it's best to reserve judgement to the end of the season and look at the season as a whole.  Just look at what happened to the Pacers last year.  The team is playing some great football right now and the coaching has been very good, but let's see them continue it over the course of the season

I was thinking that there was no way people would find something to fight about today...........color me wrong

Seriously you could have chosen any of the positive views expressed in the OP

As far as people thinking it's not fair to take shots at fans for having an opinion on coaching........I cannot keep this straight

It's ok to call for firing but it's not ok to call out the fans who called for the firing? why?

Completely agree, I am not sure why it is okay for a poster to criticize players or coaches but then say no you can't criticize to poster.

I wouldn't shed a tear over it.  It's life in the NFL.  Despite all of the talk about family, etc., if the players don't perform, they are fired(cut by Chuck and Grigson).  If the coaches don't perform, they are fired(by Irsay).  If the fans don't show up, we are fired and the team moves.  Were Irsay to be arrested a few more times, even he might be fired, by the other owners, forced to sell, Sterling style.

The team is playing well and I think coaches deserve a lot of the credit for that.  I also think the coaches deserve a lot of the blame when the team doesn't play well.

This was the point I was trying to make. As a fan you should demand better when the team doesn't perform. You should be critical to a point, until proven otherwise. Screaming for firing is one thing, but saying something like "Pep should be let go unless this offense picks it up" is a reasonable assessment. It really all depends on the situation of the particular team

I am just a bit subdued because we gave up 31 to the Broncos and 30 to the Eagles, 2 teams with good QBs.

I just want us to hold the Patriots to 20 pts or less before saying our D has arrived and everyone needs to bow down to the awesomeness of our team.

I want to jump up with joy with how well we have been playing but at the same time, be cautious about it :)

You do realize we still have much to prove as a team right?

Can we get this thread at the end of the season or if we make it deep into the post season?

You are wrong. The proof that our GM, and coaches are qualified and worthy of praise is a done deal.

There is a bounty of talent, the team appears well coached, and the trend is nothing but up.

The pledge to Build a Monster is coming True and undeniable.

 Whine on!

I'll gladly eat some crow on my opinion of Pep after the Eagles game, I thought the season was toast...

But I guess I am realizing that sometimes coaches have the "big" picture in mind, so yeah...

I'll join that club too. I was pretty hard on Pep after the first two games. Let's hope we continue this trend

Whatever helps you sleep at night.

I will not be satisfied till the Lombardi is within reach. It's what keeps me at the edge of my seat as a fan. I am not saying we do not possess the talent or the personnel to get there. I am saying that we do and that we should get there. No one is right or wrong, and this season is not over. Please learn to read before swinging at phantoms and telling people to keep on whining.

There's only one set fans, coaches and owner that are happy at the end of the season and that's the Super Bowl winner everyone one else is disappointed that's the bottom line.

Of Mice and Men.

Way too many know-it-all mice on here for any real apologies - except for TKight24, who manned up big time, and of course the others here who are doing some tasty crow snacking, with the egg clearly visible on their faces.

Thanks for that, I for one appreciate it a lot.

The mice will just disappear and conveniently  stick their head's back in  the minute we lose a game.

Naysayers thrive on negative energy. Naysayers must naysay - it sadly is in their nature.

Pacers made it to the Eastern Conference Finals and at moments looked like they might get past the Heat. That being said, I'll take this Colts team over that Pacers team any day of the week.

All along I've asked Pep to show me how good he is.....   and he's in the process of doing just that!

Been very pleased with him since week 3.     I'd like to see how he does throughout this season.    I'm looking forward to it.

Bottom line is withheld until the season (including the playoffs) is over....

I don't know why but I don't get negative on the Colts much.  The only players I think I criticized (and 4 good reason) Fleener, DHB and recently Hakeem Nicks.  I also criticized Landry twice and said he was on the juice...

I do like reading the whiny posts after the Colts lose though.

My point is that the Pacers were rolling during the first half of the season, then completely collapsed.  The team is playing great football now, but it's all for nothing if we go winless after our bye.  I just don't want to be too quick to judge the team when the season isn't even half over yet
