  1. Meh, I'm not going to say I predicted it or saw it coming per se, but I was absolutely not surprised when it did happen. So Ballard not picking up on ANY red flags in the whole interview process is/was a little concerning... Glad it happened though, cause Reich may be my favorite Colts HC... So... I'm not gonna do a top 5 best/worst list, I'm just gonna go out on a limb & say that Ballards ordeal of "getting" his HC encompasses both his best & worst decision... I guess the whole fiasco also makes Ballard that much more relatable? It shows that he is human and prone to error, while also showing that he is able to learn from his mistakes. Just glad it worked out in the end with little to no foreseeable detriment to the team...
  2. Houston's my favorite FA signing since the Polian era...
  3. Id rather have to defend an innocent son than have to console a victimized daughter... Its sad that we live in a world where either situations exist... I hope Okereke is truly innocent...
  4. Right, because history has shown to side with, vindicate, & bring justice & piece of mind to victims of rape...
  5. Think it is/was an old phone directory service. Think it basically means information or more specifically the requested or pertinent information...
  6. Good news, Sanchez has done well, ha, but I guess it doesn't hurt that his punt ratio dropped tremendously from '17 to '18. Hopefully thats a trend that continues!!! The Colts have seemed to have always had a strong kicking duo. Biasucci & Stark, Vangerjagt & Smith, Vinny & McAfee , & now Vinny & Sanchez. So, hopefully, when Adam decides to hang 'em up, the Colts can land a guy that can at least hang or hold his own with that group... Guess I may be a weirdo, but after typing that list, a couple guys on there are amongst my favorite all time Colts. After going to my first game at the Hoosier Dome I remember incessantly bugging my folks for a Dean Biasucci poster, ha... Still waiting on that Biasucci poster dang it...
  7. Posts have been removed for crossing into the personal... Opinions on Kelly are obviously somewhat varied, & as a moral or character issue, those opinions can & are getting a little heated... So with that said l guess I'll suggest that we all "keep some perspective on the issue" ... Anyhow, Go Colts...
  8. I've applied a self ban on attending road games... Every away game I've attended (5) the Colts lost... So its a no for me... Lol...
  9. Ha... Exactly This is why I am not a Kelly fan, & what I was largely hinting at in my posts & stance in the other Kelly thread... I basically couldn't care less about "what" he did, it's just that you've gotta be a special kind of person to continuously get busted doing the things this guys been in trouble for, Lol...
  10. Lol... So, basically last year's draft class!!!
  11. Ha, I just hope the Colts can win the season opener!!!
  12. If you want to be the class of the conference, you've got to be the class of your division first... Im excited about the direction of the team too, but I'm not setting unrealistic or premature expectations
  13. Clearly??? Lol... The Colts let the Texans leap frog them in divisional standings from '17 to '18... If one wants to discuss what will define a successful '19 season, it has to start with winning the division, a feat that has elluded the Colts for four seasons. Can't have visions of grandeur without first proving that last years run wasn't a fluke. If the Colts are the clear-cut "best" team in the AFC South, then they need to go out & win the AFC South. I would think that any reasonable fan would expect this before expecting an AFCCG appearance...
  14. Lol... Well, since the Colts haven't won the division since 2014, it'd be a good place to start...
  15. Sincerely asking, did Collins suspensions or issues dating back to LSU extend past anything other than PEDs??? & then how would that equivalate to the same type of "issues" or "troubles" Kelly has had???
  16. Oh no doubt, one of the more embarrassing aspects of that Arizona game was how cool all the Cardinal fans were. They were being 100% cool & the beligerant jerk was the fellow Colts fan...
  17. Man, your post reminded me of back in '13 I went to the Arizona game where the Colts got blown out by like 40 points & anyway a buddy and I were sitting like 10 rows in front of the loudest, most obnoxiuos, drunkest Colt fan I've ever encountered... Made being a fan during the game embarrassing far more than the outcome of the actual game, which was bad enough itself... So anyways, good point, no one wants to be an embarrassment to the rest of "their particular teams" fanbase, but inevitably it would seem there are those that just can't help themselves...
  18. Good points. My posts in this thread were really just addressing a poster who asked why some were not on board with the signing. While I am not a fan of the signing, it isn't that big of a deal, really nothing more than an off season talking point... Overall I love how Ballard is building the team & I just feel like the more razor focused & consistent he stays on message etc. the less ammo the nay-sayers or detractors will have.
  19. Understood. You asked a question & got an answer. While you are correct that it's all probably a complete non-issue, you should also at least be able to understand how some could view the signing as being somewhat off message...
  20. Your initial post seemed to ask why some people may not be on board with this signing, but your response here seems to answer that question. If Ballard wants to get it so focused to the point where he & his team can narrow prospects down, to "really" figure out what a Colt player is or "looks like", why make that exception for a PS guy who has had a few questionable incidents & is on probation if I'm not mistaken??? I don't think Kelly is some horrible dude, he just sorta sounds like an * who can't hold his liquor, but maybe he's awesome...
  21. Not worried about the signing, just think it sorta gives some credence to anyone who wants to argue that Ballard's message is inconsistent... Regardless if he thinks he can "save a troubled player" it is still pretty early in the team branding & identity building process especially for a 3rd string player... There's a whole season & off season for him to worry about the 2020 season backup quarterback...
