Yep.

Best wishes to him right now and hopefully he is okay.

I concur. So far new from hospital is good.  Kubiaks loss tonight was also felt in the Texans 2nd half lackluster offense and play calling.

I'm afraid that he ruptured an intracerebral aneurysm until proven otherwise, he was clutching his head as though in pain... Great that he's "alert" but still very concerning.

I was thinking for a bit as well it could've been some kind of aneurysm. Wish the guy the best, those things are really scary.

I like how the houston chronicle blames loss on Kubiak loss.  Many teams Rally around the loss of a coach (Colts) ---- I think it was Luck, who was awful early, and TY, as opposed to the Kubiak loss.  Get well Gary, and I'm sure you'll be back at the office VERY soon (looking for a new kicker)... but seriously, i hope he is back working right away (assuming he is not needing rest).

He'll be alright. Any thoughts on what could have happened? Just drink some more Gatorade and you'll be good lol. Get them electrolytes flowing. (seriously thats good advice)

Sideline reports on the radio said Kubiak grabbed his chest before he collapsed to the ground, then couldnt open his eyes or sit up without aid from the pain. He was conscious the whole time and talking to paramedics though. Texans PR stated after half time it was not a heart attack, and the hospitalization was cautionary.

How many people in the media you think will say that's why we won? I hope he is okay though.

unfortunately u nailed it --- i woke up this am and first thing i heard was as soon as Kubiack went down they couldnt do a thing as he is the play caller and wade phillips is great DC  but failed already as a HC, esp an unprepared one

still we made the plays to win

none the less Get Well Gary , u have been a great competitor threw the years

According to Peter Kings MMQB, it was an overwhelming headache that brought Kubiak to his knees.  So on the low end of the spectrum we have dehydration, and on the other side is either an aneurysm, TIA (mini stroke) or stroke.  Then everything in between that I don't know, because I'm not a medical doctor.

    • Both Flacco and Ehlinger are free agents.  Uncertain about the long list of upcoming QB FAs that we could target next season.  Remember AR is still very raw only played one full season much like Caleb Williams in college with very similar snap count and production.  I do see the Colts looking for potentially two backup replacements but also someone very early in Round 2 as a backup (with strong upside as a starter a must).  Jalen Milroe (Alabama) is my top front-runner and may see his draft stock rise to early Round 1, but right now if he is available to us in Round 2 then he becomes our next Flacco/Minshew.  Either Grayson McCall or KJ Jefferson could be potential draft replacements for Ehlinger.    Right now, can see us next year go Edge again in Round 1.  Both Ebukam and Lewis will be in their 30's and contracts up at the end of 2025.
    • I don't know. There's some potential late games. Lions, Steelers, Bills, Dolphins, Packers. Texans for sure
    • Agree, feels very late this year.    The NFL teams are preparing schedule release videos as we speak right now!
    • Simmons is someone the NFL and every referee unit continues to have their eye on during every play. The moment he does a big hit (he usually doesn't care about how and where he hits), the league is gonna serve him a 4 game ban. He would spend most of the year suspended, unless he plays by rules which he doesn't seem to want.    Do you think Ballard gets that type of player, with year long availability in question? There's a reason he's available in FA, not because he's waiting, but because only the teams that are okay with his style of play and its consequences will get him before the start of the season. Not sure Colts is that team.
