  1. Where would we be without the weekly Dwayne Allen complaint thread?
  2. So we're just going to have a new thread complaining about Allen every week -- a thread doesn't even cover new ground. That's fabulous.
  3. Dakich is only worth listening to when Rick Venturi is on. Any other time is a crap shoot.
  4. NOOOOOO!!! *flails* Do we have any no.1s starting on defense for week 1?
  5. If you listen Coach Venturi, he says Castonzo has taken a step back and that Mewhort isn't as good as people are making him out to be. He says Mew is too stiff and has bad footwork. I can't speak to whether he's right or wrong, but would that be coaching or just physical limitations?
  6. This. A thousand times, this. I try really hard to be an adult and not be petty, but I can't help the glee I feel sometimes when things don't go their way.
  7. I believe I heard on the radio last week that there were two O-line coaches on the staff.
  8. Dear god. Somebody is certainly a grumpy cat.
  9. You aren't counting the three TD kick returns?
  10. Not to be rude or arrogant, but I didn't really see this potential that other people saw. I was waiting to be wowed during the preseason and I'm still waiting. If he ends up leaving to go find other opportunities, then I wish him luck.
  11. The constant ragging on the team was part of what made me quit watching that show a few years ago. I know that opinions and debates are part of the whole premise but sometimes you have to quit punishing yourself.
  12. I don't have any specifics, but I heard several years ago that Wilbon has some sort of issue with Irsay anyway. I'm thinking he's probably always willing to point the finger in Irsay's direction regardless of the issue.
  13. What "they" said that? I'm honestly curious. I've only heard of Mew playing guard or tackle.
  14. Ok, so he leaves. Where does he go? Dallas is purported to have the best O-line, but it couldn't keep Romo from being destroyed twice this season. I don't think anyone is poo-pooing the type of injuries he got at all, but Luck likes to play a physical game. That wouldn't change no matter what team he's on. Why wish for your team's best chance at victory to leave town? I also feel reasonably certain that if he ducked and covered all the time, certain people would call him "soft" and whine about getting another quarterback that would make plays.
  15. I understand the reasoning for shutting him down but I'd like to see him play just a little bit before the season's over. Just so that he can get a feel for where things stand physically. Whitehurst can play most of the last two games.
  16. The bright side? That there is nothing more to hope for this season, thus conserving that energy for use in more promising ventures.
