I had a chance to rewatch the game last night, and that 4th and 1 was only a hair less frustrating the second time. During the initial viewing I don't ever think I've yelled "NOOOOO" so loud at an inanimate object before (that, being my tv). Take out that play and it really was a clinic on tackling across the board.
I want to give Vontae props on his tackling ability. He's not the biggest guy out there but dude can tackle. All he did in this game, the one play sticking in my mind is his take down of Julius Thomas (I think it was him) before Thomas could get out of bounds and stop the clock on the last or second to last drive.
I thought his elbow was down too. Oh well. Loved, LOVED that even though Luck kept looking downfield, he would take his checkdowns to Boom. And props to Boom for catching everything thrown to him. Run, Booooooom, run!!!
Agreed. I was finally able to watch last week's game, and Matty looked very good slinging the ball. I don't know when I've been able to say that about any of the backups.
Saw "The Lion King" last night on stage. Even though I knew what to kind of expect, the show was still amazing, and the intro is worth the price of admission alone!
Moonlighting: I lived in New York for a very brief period of time and saw Phantom there. It was incredible! I will never forget it! And, the soundtrack is equally as good. Nothing like live theater! I really want to see Lion King. I've heard it's amazing....
