ballard gets worshiped for no reason  .    colts have zero pass rush bad corners   no wrs  and a horrible left tackle .   ballards wentz trade will go down as being worse than the richardson trade for grigson .

Colts have had 3 studs at corner for the majority of the season

Moore, Ya-Sin, and Rodgers have been an absolute plus

Ballard has studs at 4 of the 5 offensive line positions

He has one of the best defensive playmaker in the league and the top RB in the game

Carson Wentz is the glaring disaster on this team

Remember guys, at the end of the day this is all Ryan Grigson and Andrew Lucks fault.

Grigson certainly is to blame for us not having Luck, although that's really just crying over spilled milk at this point. This loss is on everyone associated with the Colts not named Jonathan Taylor.

Are the other areas of this team in your opinion good enough to support Wentz as a complimentary QB?

Also, on an unrelated note, do you think the offense would have been better this year if Rivers returned?

My point. Rivers while lacking in aspects was the better option. We actually got more productivity with an aging Rivers than with Wentz. Rivers wasn't facing stacked lines for Taylor. Rivers was decisive. Carson isn't . Rivers  would have carved them. This should have easy for Wentz. But hey. Believe what you want. We could have been in the playoffs with Rivers easy.

Would Rivers have won this game?

With this O-line performance, it's doubtful  - at lest Wentz is mobile and has escapability, whereas Philip is a statue but he gets the ball out quick and usually makes good decisions.

Also the fact that he had good receivers most of the time with the Chargers, and this team doesn't currently have anyone who can get separation.

Ty laughing on bench. Players don't care if blown out.

It's probably Hilton's last game as a Colt, maybe even in the NFL

Players laughing on the bench while losing football games is not the end of the world, don't act like it is

Luck made plenty of bone headed plays. And our O was much much different for him.

Of course . I agree that Luck made bone headed plays. Even Manning had a million INTs, but when it came down to it, there was no denying how good they were at QB.

It’s clearly not the same with Wentz, a relatively young QB who has been traded from the team that drafted him.

Wentz is a serviceable to good QB, but certainly far below what Colts fans expect from their QBs.

the defense has been bad this season the offensive line is ranked close to 20th in pass protection .   kelly wasnt a ballard pick glow is overrated got beat all year that is why chris reed was splitting snaps with him .   two guys smith and nelson ballard brought in .   you cant win without a pass rush a wrs  .  plus wentz is horrible

Every sad sack on the colts sideline will still get paid.

Colts fans probably disappointed more than they are.  Lol.  Inexcusable end to this season.  Some heads need to roll for this. But won’t. At least nothing really significant.

Rivers threw 2 INTs last year and lost to Jax, with a much better OL.

In his first game with only the second team he ever played for, and it was a season opener no less. No, Rivers would have won this game, or at least not lost it by 20+.

The experiment is over with Wentz and Reich owned this one.  Total failure on his(Reich)part to beg  Ballard to trade for him....

Wentz still has some value, trade him to a needy QB team like the Broncos, Panthers, etc....I believe we can roll with Ehlinger with a year under his belt.

    • The kid chose not to slide to protect himself and was in a really awkward position when he did get a good NFL wallop. It’s absolutely brainless to do that after getting knocked out of games and the season.   Maybe he needs to sit on the bench for another season. Let him play  play play, what, for another game or two until the next stupid injury?  He still has a lot to learn and it looks like to me we are rushing an inexperienced kid into something he isn't quite prepared for.   AR seems humble, maybe a bit more humility regarding a possible Superman complex would serve him and the Colts very well long term.  What AR IS in years 4 and beyond is what Wise Colts fans should be concerned about. And yes, like me, many here are getting old enough we Want It Now! It's an unreasonable expectation for a kid that can't throw an out that isn't a mile high, and hasn't the sense of when and how to protect himself.
    • I don’t listen to games anymore because I don’t work on Sundays anymore. But man sometimes listening to the game is better than watching it. Kinda miss Matt Taylor getting all pumped..  I-N-D-Y lol
    • Absolutely zero chance a 40 year old Flacco starts unless Richardson is too hurt to go.  Top 5 pick, 22 year old QB who needs reps more than any player in the league vs a 40 year old that has zero chance of being in our plans beyond this year The people that want Flacco to start are way too short sighted of what the Colts are trying to accomplish here. They really don't care about this season if it means that by WEEK 17 they are sure Anthony is the guy and he has improved substantially.    What I don't think they anticipated is the fact that Anthony could be injury prone and has a low pain threshold.  I don't think he is the unluckiest QB to ever play.  But I do think he is one of the youngest.  Practically nobody on the planet (Even at 6'5 255) is mature enough to take  NFL physical punishment at the age of 21 years old IF AT ALL. Only time in the league will prove that.  I don't think he had any benefit in the offseason to prepare his body for this type of punishment- I think his offseason work was mainly to rehab his shoulder and his throwing mechanics.  Perhaps jacking AR up even more than he naturally is might be the play here?  Or the opposite- focus on pliability and durability ALA Brady in his late career. Either way, we will need to spend next offseason addressing this somehow to rule out weather or not its durability.  In the meantime, our QB is going to have to learn and learn quick to suck it up and grind through the bumps and bruises.  Given his career choice, he signed on for 15 year of it. Given his size, he should be able to handle it.  Given his game experience- it was an absolute coin flip weather he could handle it.
    • Never did I suggest that AR wasn’t the starter.  AR has looked got at times  but his type of play is hazardous to himself.  Till he stays on the field, Flacco is the guy.
    • AR said he couldn't run or plant the way he wanted to.   Shane didn't put him back in because he was hurt
