Obviously Wentz is playing terribly, but where is Buckner? Leonard? Pittman?

Can somebody make a play?

Thing is now barring a huge defensive play, Wentz is going to have to take over the game and he's done that like once all year unfortunately.

Pro Bowl votes are popularity votes and it’s no coincidence  that the team on the first in-season series has the most number of Pro-Bowl players. It doesn’t accurately reflect on the quality of the players or the team.

True... A lot came from exposure on the Hard Knocks series.

We've seen both Autry and Houston go on to have better years at other places lol.... and neither graded near as well as Paye here.

I'm confident he's good, and confident it's more Flus holding him back than anything else.

The coaching staff is holding the entire team back.

or he could just cover the ball like a normal quarterback and not chance a fumble

Alot of quartbacks attempt the pass to avoid losing the sack yardage, and that nonsense "in the grasp" call earlier may have gotten into his head.

that is on wentz he did not read the blitz coming never changed the protection  . this causes a free runner to come after him and he throws the ball to the defense again .  teams can easily time their blitzes it takes wentz 40 seconds to get to the line and he cant read defenses .

The free runner was missed by the lineman not seeing him come in until it was too late. Wentz turned from the PA and he was right there. Was an attempted shovel pass that could’ve been called incomplete easily.

Ok everybody, here’s where we find out if Wentz is our guy of the future. Plenty of time, down 2 touchdowns. If he’s our guy he’ll lead us back with no ezcuses

I would feel better about our chances if we had a better LT, playmaking receivers or Wentz could process faster

The 40 seconds to get to the line, is 100% on Reich.

Hurry up, or long clock, is a coaches call / game plan.

It's why I've always preferred the hurry up with Wentz, but it's a rarity with Reich.

    • What part of Ohio?   I was born in Circleville and spent time in Columbus then Cincinnati
    • Fun fact: The Rocky character was based on Chuck Wepner.   https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2095019/
    • I will take a scene from Rocky 3. 80's and 90's were the best. After Homer gets destroyed by Tatum like Rocky did against Clubber, I walk in and tell Homer, you can't go out like that, we can win the title together like Apollo did. Homer would be like, I don't need this anymore, why you here? I would tell him, you can't pull it off without me because I am the best, you need better training. I am bored but great memories    .   Regarding the Rocky movies, fighters compared to real life fighters by Rolling Stone:   Apollo Creed = Ali Rocky = Rocky Marciano  Clubber = Mike Tyson Drago = Vitali klitchko
    • I would also say that part of the criteria for being put on the practice squad is: how much need is there for the Colts to have someone in that position on the practice squad?  If they have 10 O-linemen fully healthy, starters and backups, then there's little need for a backup swing tackle on the practice squad.  But if they have a rash of injuries, then the need is greater.
    • That's ok.  We can differ in our opinion. And - as an added bonus, we're not that far apart.  You're assessment they are "top 10" and my assessment that they are in the upper range of "average".  That would place them somewhere around 12 or so.  (Assuming average is the middle third of the league). Always good to trade ideas and opinions with you!
