Who should be QB #2 behind Luck?

Tolzein. I like Morris but Tolzein knows the offense and has experience. He's not great. He's not even good but he's our best option.

 

Personally I really liked Josh Freeman last years. Would like to have seen him resigned.

Morris! Tolzein is horrible, the coaches know way more than i do but i'm not sure what they see in him or why Morris isn't getting more reps.

Morris wasn't good, he was wildly inaccurate most of the time. He does have a playmaking flair to him, and he came on toward the end of the game, but I wouldn't want him starting based on that performance.

Hard to say i dont think Morris had a fair opportunity to showcase his skills. I would have like to see more of him. But Tolzein played awful.

I'm not sure why we don't move on from Morris and bring in someone If not Kap then Ponder Hill Ovlasky anyone that might be able to complete a pass. It's obvious he's fallen out of favor What happened to competition If you don't have a shot at the roster We bring in someone who does?

Morris was far from great but he was better than Tolzein. Of course, almost anybody would've looked better than Tolzein as the bar wasn't exactly high to begin with.

Considering how our O.Line situation is, Tolzien will be a sitting duck back there. Morris can scramble and run better.

Definitely not Tolzein he's horrible! He may be better in practice because the mentality of knowing you're not getting hit makes a huge difference.

Tolzien second string and Morris 3rd.   We have to carry 2 on the team.   

I think if the line can play well, Tolzien is our best bet, but if the line is bad, Morris might be the better choice.

I just want to see Morris play a good amount Saturday.  Tolzein as well but Morris has to get more snaps with the 1's or 2's.  Last week he played against the bottom of the barrel.

Bring in Ponder on a one year contract. I know he's not a world beater but his QB IQ is pretty good. And I think he would fit the system and better than anyone else we have right now.c

I want to see whoever is in there have time to throw. Reports from yesterday's training camp had Tolzien throwing better. Hard to judge when the Oline couldn't keep pressure off either of them.

I think Morris has consistently looked better than Tolzein , just my opinion. If we have to sign a veteran...I think Kap would work well, but i don't think Irsay would buy into that.

kap went 1-10 last year

 

i know the team was bad, but i dont see how he is a good fit with this scheme and roster either 

 

our record would look about the same with him as it would with out current back ups

why do people think kap is a good fit to read the field and attempt to throw deep to TY?  thats what we do here, and it doesnt fit his skill set

 

he makes like one read and takes off running if its not there, our down field blocking is really bad too

With the money to sign a vet, and the knowledge that Luck was having shoulder surgery this off-season, it should have been a much higher priority, apparently.  I don't think a backup capable of winning is on the roster.  The answer is Tolzien is the backup, but he is what we've seen.
