Odell Beckham with the catch of the year

I really think a lot of these catches have to do with the gloves. You can see the ball settle right on his hand like it was stuck there. Still a great catch as he had to reach behind his head and pull it in.

I'm curious as to how much extra grip the gloves can give you.

But gloves or no gloves that's an amazing catch.

Agree on all of the above, but when it comes down to it I don't think they are any different from what

Fred Belitnekoff did back in the 60's/70's - using all of that stick-um(sp?).  Receivers have always wanted an edge when

catching the ball.

In my opinion, this catch is even better than Tyree's catch, but this one didn't have the impact that Tyree's had, being in the SB.

I don't even want to think about the chemistry that could exist between Eli and Beckham next year having a full camp together.

YEESH...

I doubt that gloves are as effective as Stick-em though.  But I would say the gloves give them somewhat of an edge if you can call it that given that most receivers wear gloves now.

These new gloves are ridiculous; I have a NE

pair

A buddy of mine , who played in the NFL for five years as a guard, showed me gloves that his current high school kids wear (at a high level prep program ) and gloves from 10 years ago.

No comparison. The rubber used is almost adhesive.

Another advantage to help emphasize the passing game I suppose.

Gloves from ten years ago weren't as good as a new pair? You don't say...

That catch was incredible. I don't care if he was wearing a baseball glove.
