I think this game was fixed from the beginning.

I think so to.

Luck is not injured. This is all playcalling from the beginning. We got away from what got us here and tried to get into a shootout with them.

That said, we’ve made it farther than expected and this will only help grow our young players

and this team peaked early, but I think that with a few more pieces they will be great.

Hahaha...at this point i just have to laugh.

Oh well...

Pretty much my reaction at that point.

As well as KC have played on O, it's the D that's won them this, that and Luck and the O-line looking like bad replacements of themselves.

This is what happened when we quit running the ball early. When will we get a coach that sticks to what has gotten you here.

In that situation, I would have run it.  Get a TD and the pressure is back on them.

when he was in his prime when did he get shut out by last ranked defense . even the bad games against the steelers with a made kick we go to overtime and the chargers game he never got the ball back

Can you refresh me on Manning's playoff numbers the year they won the SB?

Yep.  We're playing like we're behind by 30.  KC is goign to start milking the clock, and both Reich and Luck are playing like we have to score right now.

Andrew Luck can * off.

Because Braden Smith completely missed his block?

I don't get why they went with five wide

That was a big mistake. Needed Mack in to pick up the blitz.

Folks, Luck is injured.  We'll find out after the season what was wrong but probably the shoulder again.  I doubt any starter in the league has thrown the ball with less velocity than he has in this game, and he's always had a strong arm.

A big part of it is our defense. Good QBs love to see the Cover 2.

Mahomes has shredded basically every kind of defense he has seen this year...not just the cover 2.  I’m impressed with the poise he has displayed in his first ever playoff situation.  He is beyond his years.

Also Luck today is struggling against what was supposed to be a suspect Chiefs defense.   I expected more given his previous playoff experience.

This is probably the most sensible thing you’ve said so far!!! I agree, we were not patient with the run.

It’s looking like the team that got shut out by the jags is just as much who we are as the one who went on this run...  Would have been nice to run the ball after that turnover.  We’re playing into their hands dropping back every time.

Luck has pooped a large brick this game. It’s not all his fault because this game was lost with coaching, game plan, defense, offense and special teams. Nothing went right in this game at all. It’s a night and day team from the past 10 weeks, save the Jags game.

haha...uh...yeah.  That was Andrew's fault.

(NOT!)

So, he’s not supposed to protect the ball when he senses pressure now?  Did you see his floating pass the down before?  Something is not right...

So disappointed in Reich's playcalling tonight. So disappointed in Andrew and this offense.

If you would have told me we would get a special teams touchdown, a turnover in great field position, and a couple stops on defense, i would have told you we'd win going away. Unreal.

He looks like Pagono. We got stuffed the first run of the game so he thought we would stop running.

This what a loss looks like in the game-day thread.

Ah.  Reminds me why I don't come here often.  I had an account awhile back, lost my password and set up a new one, but rarely come by anymore.

0-0 for the last quarter. Forget everything and just play for the sake of the hard work the team gave this season. Then see what happens.

we had a  couple chances before half time . at the third we have been 3 and out on all drives except 2 .   its the jags game all over again . theres been warning signs all year that the offense has struggled bad at times

For all those who kept calling Manning a regular season QB should watch Andrew Luck in the post season. I finally for once praise him and comes out throwing like a pansy. Definition of scared.

Luck looks like a scared rookie out there.  Deer in the headlights.

That being said, I told my wife 10 weeks ago that anything this year is gravy.  Next year will be the year.

10 weeks later I stand by that.  IF IF IF Ballard realizes that the time is now and actually signs some legit FA talent?

They can win the SB next year.  Of course that is predicated on Luck being ok and not playing like he has the past few weeks.  Because he has sucked.

Defense has played good enough the first 3 quarters to give us a chance to win. the offense just didn't board the plane

This is just one of those games.  It's not happening.  Strange game, especially on offense.

This is a colossal choke job. Coaches , players.  Mahomes making Andrew look like a chump .  Hopefully something good comes of if.

In all fairness, Reich did kind of hint at that this week.

Well... Anybody but the Patriots. Go chargers

The Chargers were my preseason dark horse. I want to see Rivers get one before he retires.

    • Purely my opinion, but I think Campbell will probably benefit the most from having Rivers as a QB. JB was unwilling/unable to throw quality balls to the seam, and Rivers doesn't have that problem. Same with the deep balls, but I think the seam routes will be far more productive this year.
    • JB is a safe guy to get us over a short term hump, but I think we all know his limitations. Love the guy, hate his salary, but he's the guy I'd want manning the ship if Rivers was out a game or so. I just don't want to go through another season with the limitations he brings. I'd rather see one of the young kids get an opportunity to make a case for a long term answer.    As for the OP, I think we'll carry 3 QBs on the active roster, and one on the PS. It could be a wacky year with Covid, so I'm more than OK with carrying 3+1. Having the option to protect PS guys is also nice. I'd prefer to segregate 2 of them from the other 2.   I'd actually prefer they segregate the 2 deep (all positions) from everyone else, and also the D from the O. I read something a while back that they're looking at all kinds of ways to keep folks away from each other, including multiple rooms for the same position groups, etc.
    • https://nfltraderumors.co/colts-worked-out-six-players-2/   CB Cordrea Tankersley CB Andre Chachere G Donnell Greene OT RJ Prince CB Tremon Smith CB Brandon Williams
    • If we ever need safety or nickel CB help, he will be considered. One injury to safeties around the league, I am certain he will be considered.   Otherwise, with the addition of Tavon Wilson at safety and Kenny Moore in the slot/nickel role, we really don't need him at this point.   He may want to go to a contender and/or his asking price might be still high. It has to be one of those things for him to remain unsigned.
    • That's also kinda the issue.. ba dum bum
