Robert Turbin Suspended 4 Games

Yeah, he looks like he uses PED's. I make no moral judgments on that in the NFL though.

The last carry for him last season was so brutal though, you want to see a guy get back after something like that.

More carries for the young guys. That might be good?

A running game that is average or less is not what Luck needs as he works his way back... teams will continue to disrespect the run and load up to stop and hit Luck.  OL will have to be great for our QB to survive until the Colts find a ground game....

Where as I agree with the basic statement here, Turbin was not a deciding factor in our run game being anything. Mack (supposed starter), Hines, and Wilkins will be able to do fine for 4 games. Turbin does provide one thing that hopefully Wilkins can now, and that is short yards. 3rd and 1 or 3rd and 2.

I agree I was being sarcastic when I said this was good news (above) but it's not like we are losing Eric Dickerson. Mack is the best back we have and Hines has more talent. I hope Hines splits the carries with Mack alot this season. Wilkins is more than capable of getting 1 or 2 Yards as well if we go that route.

-Turbin in his 2 years with the Colts has 217 Yards in 21 games on 2.9 a carry. That is Trent Richardson numbers.

The bolded I will say is based on him coming in to get 1 or 2 yards on 3rd down when everyone knows he is running. So I would not hold to much into that...just me anyways.

I think Hines will be a good explosive player, but I personally think Wilkins will be a solid back for the future. This allows him to get good carries and Mack just needs to get healthy and learn to get between the tackles. Hopefully the new line opens stuff up.

Bummer.   I really like the guy.  Still do.

there is intense pressure for these guys to recover from injuries and stay productive later in their careers.

this wont change my opinion of him.  And actually, i think it took a real man to say what he did in his statement.

It will affect the beginning of our season, but hopefully he will be here week 5 ready to make defenses pay.

Well it is a running back . I do not expect to see any of our RB's on this years Pro-bowl roster. Per many football websites our best offensive skill position just might be our tight ends (I hope Doyle remembers how to hold on to passes this season )……….GO COLTS !!!!!...…..Also have many ACC Conference fans in my family who say Colts got a STEAL in drafting Deon Cain...….Again GO COLTS !!!!!!

We have 3 capable backs on the roster without Turbin. Two are rookies but this is probably the most talented backfield Luck has ever had. I think this coaching staff will show us how good these guys can be.

It's more like we have one guy who was kinda/sorta adequate in a non-starting role last year, one who spent the season on IR, and a couple of guys who have yet to take their first snaps in the NFL. Perhaps this extends the career of Christine Michael by four games?

I believe the intent was to have the starting units be 90% vets to start the season.

I also believe Turbin was going to be the starter opening day. He was the guy that could block and keep Andrew off the turf through the first 4 games. I expected the other backs to cycle in and press for their share of time as the season moved on.

Now we have 3 backs that have not proved they can block anybody. Not a good situation. I see this as a big setback to the team strategy for the early part of the season.

Anyone behind Nelson should be able to get 1 yard, if not they don't belong in the league. Trent Richardson could probably even pull that off behind Nelson.

No offense, but you are hoping they can ( I am too) , but Turbin actually did it behind a bad line.  Look at Douzers post.  I agree with it but hope it all turns out good anyways.
