Luck visiting specialists

Jay Glazer reported that Luck felt pain after throwing a couple weeks ago and he is now visiting with specialists trying to find answers as to why. If they are unable to get answers the team plans to shut down Luck. Sounds a little more serious then just your normal soreness.  Bob Kravitz has also retweeted the information. A similar topic was locked earlier due to supposedly no sources confirming this.

This is not good. I'm just hoping this is a smoke screen basically saying your not playing this year. But seeing a specialist is never a good thing.

Would you prefer him go to the local urgent care as opposed to a specialist?

I wouldn't be surprised if the Colts were just blowing smoke all season, but in reality, they never intended for Luck to play this season.

There's no way Jim Irsay is sending his $140 million dollar QB out there with that line this season.

He's not risking his franchise QB by having him play in a couple of meaningful games.

Sorry. Luck was never playing in 17'

Why isn't the team actually saying anything? We keep hearing from "sources" but the team just says SFA.

It's a good way to * off your fans.

The Colts never really say anything they were shady when Edge tore his ACL in 2001

Manning's neck in 2011

And now 2017 Andrew Luck.

Jimbo thinks he's smarter than other people for some reason(the drugs help I guess)

For all the talk of the Pats being liars about this sort of thing the Colts honestly have been worse.

I would expect a professional QB coming off shoulder surgery, to be in contact with specialist during the entire recovery process. I would be more surprised, if this is actually his first visit with a specialist, to be honest. This sounds like a rumour being completely blown out of proportion.

At 2-6 I would shut him down now so he will be 100% next season with another Draft and a new Coach. This season is over IMO at 2-6.

At this point we don’t know if he will be 100% next year.  I still think odds favor him being okay but I do think it’s ok for Colts fans to be concerned right now.

They have millions of reasons not to be overly clear on what they already know, Luck isn't playing this year.  It's not overly out of bounds to speculate whether Luck is ever going to be 100 percent again imo.

Exactly . Sets up an interesting off-season.  All the Luck wants to be traded chatter , etc. sounds ridiculous on the surface,  but who knows what is really going on behind the scenes. He was hurt last year , not playing this year . Being paid millions to model the newest NFL gear on the sidelines.

I have no reason to believe he wont be 100% next season unless I am missing something. He should feel like a 21 year old again with a whole year off.

I wouldn't be surprised if he ended up elsewhere and then ended up thriving and winning an SB... sound familiar?

Most people know he's not playing this year. And his career isn't over. He's seeking opinions on the pain, not whether his career is over or not.

If his career is over he's not going to say it now either. FWIW I don't think its over but its a possibility that can't be dismissed either.

Still having soreness that they didn’t expect him to have to the point there are reports he’s seeing specialists again isn’t exactly good news.  Like I said I think there is reason to be concerned but not full on panic.

A few weeks ago on Sirius XM’s Moving the Chains, Pat Kirwin & Jim Miller were talking about Luck and Jim Miller started talking about when he had that same surgery and said it took him about three years for the shoulder to feel right, pain free.   This could be quite a long total recovery time for Luck.   The hope is that by next year, he will feel right ENOUGH to effectively play.

It’s not going to be easy. There’s being in shape and there’s being in-football-shape. He won’t have played actual football in more than a year, not to mention he’s coming off of surgery and is having a harder time than most coming back from it. It’s going to take a while for Andrew to look like Andrew again.

not looking good

we may never see the same luck again

You mean the one who throws inaccurately on crossing routes, continuously misses high, and can't throw the fade.  I was hoping the shoulder surgery would make him better than 100%.

I honestly think he will be fine but I know what you are saying, there is a rust factor.

Oh I get being concerned but definitely panic mode I am not. I just think we are being extremely cautious with our franchise QB and Irsay pretty much knows we aren't going anywhere this season. Next season I see us making serious noise though with another Draft and Andrew back. Mack is a beast too.

Yeah we are on the same page be concerned but don’t lose your mind over it yet.

I agree they are being cautious but there is also nose (who knows how much of it is true) coming around this that it could be bad so like I said I think there is reason to be concerned.
