   Joe Philbin and Chris Ballard personally flew out to meet with him, Banner says. Philbin put him on the chalkboard for hours.

Him being that way is great. The kid works his way down the line on  run blocks. He is inconsistent, but with NFL coaches he'll be fine.

I doubt he plays guard he's way too tall. He'd probably be the tallest guard in the league.

Mewhort is 6'6. Tall guys can play guard.

 

Banner is likely a guard too for the Colts despite being 6'8.

 

Edit: or not.. what do I know. He'll have to improve to play RT in the NFL.

Guys this size usually don't make it, being this tall causes issues of leverage and getting out of stance. Very much a boom or bust pick. 

 

One very noticeable trend in Ballard's picks, they are all tremendous physical players with great size/speed ratios

i like it get the line in order theres a bunch of young guys there already keep adding to it. If he can come in and add more competition for the Right side of the football so be it. Having a former NFL pro as a parent should help as well.
