-Blount would probably be a locker room cancer. Let's not forget his Pittsburgh shenanigans.

-I would like a signing like Knighton to solidify starting line and depth.

-Sorely need a #2 CB. Can't bring Toler back

Don't need to sign a free agent DT this year. The draft is very deep there. I like Sheldon Rankins, Vernon Butler, and A'Shawn Robinson.

I remember being furious last year for letting Wilfork, Knighton, Suh, Fairley all sign elsewhere. Then we passed over Malcolm Brown (good move in hindsight but i was mad as hell). Then Art Jones got hurt. I think we should draft as well knowing we aren't going to spend money on a big fat run stopping DT this year if we didn't last year.

My wishlist:

Malik Jackson from DEN. So we have a good rusher from the inside, also because Henry suffered a knee injury so dont rush him. But mainly cause i drool from an inside pass rusher and he is legit.

Stefen Wisneski (or whatever his lastname is). C is our biggest need on offense. Not much more i need to say.

Either Osemele/Schawrtz/Andre Smith. if we sign any of those RT (Smith/Shcwartz...I like Schartz better), it means we move Joe Reitz to RG and we all happy.

If we sign Osemele, the RG position gets solved and i trust Joe to still play RT. The only thing is im pretty sure Osemele played LG with Yanda playing RG. But i guess he would be able tplay RG?

Why not Mack? cause i think Wisneski is good enough  and wont command that as much money as Mack.

and just go all in on defense on draft: CB / OLB / ILB are all huge needs IMO.

Von Miller will likely be this year's Suh...quite possibly the highest paid FA of this coming off-season.  Berry will probably be close behind.

I'd like to pursue Bruce Irvin, Casey Hayward and a couple of offensive linemen.  Anything on top of that would be gravy. :D

I like that list specially Bruce irving cause i like him and could be our pass rush specialist on 3rd down and i dont think would command that much money.

I also Like Casey but i worry  the whole Butler/Toler effect where the guy is good but not really good enough and we dont draft a cb cause we feel good...but we shouldnt feel good about it. And i just want a * high pick on a CB. Im done with the tolers of this world

I could be completely wrong about this, but my gut instinct is that, out of Janoris Jenkins, Sean Smith and Casey Hayward, Hayward will be the most reasonably priced.  I also don't think Jenkins hits the open market, and it's about 50/50 on Smith.  Probably the same with Hayward honestly...could be that none of the 3 hit the open FA market.

Hayward has done very well in Green Bay, and he was a target of Pagano/Grigson in that draft, but GB traded up just ahead of the Colts and selected him.  There were reports that either Pagano or Manusky threw a clipboard against a wall when that happened...they obviously thought very highly of him.

Well if he's good I'm down if we can't get Jenkins then go for it or just get him first as long as toler is cut and we get a replacement

That's exactly what I remember reading too.  I think Hayward will be the target.

Any idea of what GB thinks of him?  I'm sure they will be hot n heavy over olineman, but idk where their secondary stands in terms of needs.

A few realistic options I'd like to see include...

CB Casey Heyward

CB Sean Smith

RB Lamar Miller

C Stephen Wiskewski

ILB Danny Trevathan

OG Kelechi Osemele

That's a good list.  Realistically, we could remove one of the CBs and sign the rest.  I think we could do it given the cuts we will probably make and the resulting cap room.  Then draft first round quality OLB in the 1st.

Irsay said we need to get younger, so AJ Cole and DQ are likely gone as well as MH and his contract.

Wishlist:

RB: Alfred Morris

OT: Mitchell Schwartz

OG: Alex Boone

C: Manny Ramirez

DT: BJ Raji

OLB: Courtney Upshaw/Vinny Curry

ILB: Sean Weatherspoon/Demario Davis

CB: Jerraud Powers (doubtful, but wishful thinking)/Casey Hayward/Janoris Jenkins/Leonard Johnson

S: James Ihedigbo/Johnson Bademosi

No.... no, no, no, no... Please no. LOL. No more mediocrity. Schwartz and Boone I'm down with. But the rest of those guys. Just please no. We need some playmakers, stars, and young elite level talent. Change Upshaw/Curry, Raji, Weatherspoon/Davis, Powers, and Ihedigbo/Johnson to Irvin/Hali, Wilkerson/Jackson, Trevathan/McClain, Smith/Jenkins/Johnson/Haywayd, and Gibson/Berry. Now obviously we cant get all those guys but our offseason needs to be sexy this year. With a major addition at OLB and Corner we can have a top 10 D IMO. And the OL needs Osemele. Give me Sean Smith, Bruce Irvin, Danny Trevathan, and Kelechi Osemele and we're set after a good draft.

Hayward will definitely hit the open market. Randall and Rollins played really well for GB this year plus they have their main guy in Sam Shields. I think Sean Smith will hit the open market too. Eric Berry will get the tag before Smith does. Trumaine Johnson is another good possibility. But I want Smith bad.

Trumaine Johnson (Very underrated, young cornerback. Would be perfect as a starter alongside Davis. 7 INTs and 71 tackles this past regular season. Think he'll be cheaper than Jenkins).

Kelechi Osemele (Perfectly rated. One of the best guards in the game. And unlike Mack, he is young.)

Eric Weddle or Tashaun Gipson if we're looking at safeties, though I'd prefer to take the draft route here.

Other than Eric Weddle I completely agree.

I am concerned about Hali's age I would actually not want us to pick him up until other options have been exhausted. I am very high on Gibson I think that would solve our safety issue.

For OLB- I would be interested in seeing if we can go after some like Dion Jordan.

Dion jordan is a bust no need to look at him lol

what about Anthony Davis? I know he retired for 1 year with the desire to return.

You think he'd leave the Pelicans? I just don't see him leaving the NBA though personally.

.....:funny:.....lmao..........:funny:.....lmao.....

But in all seriousness. If we could get him outta retirement on a cheep deal then that'd be great. He wouldn't cost much on a 1year deal then we could also sign Osemele.

Hali's still very productive. I'm pretty sure he graded out as a top 10 EDGE guy this season. Don't confuse him with Trent Cole because of age. And we'd still need to draft a pass rusher in the 1st. Like I said I'd just go all in and sign Hali or Irvin, draft Noah Spence in the 1st round, then trade Werner for Jordon. Bring back Mathis and that's a completely revamped OLB group and a much better one as well. I think we have to go all in, in addressing the pass rush this year.

The offensive line needs to be addressed in free agency so that the draft can be used on defense. Alex Mack and Kelechi Osemele or Alex Boone would be at the top of my wish-list. With a solidified line, a new running back is needed either to replace Gore or to help Gore carry the load. Looking at the running backs available, the one that makes the most sense is Doug Martin. Martin can run the ball effectively and can catch the ball out of the backfield. He has said that he would love to return to the Bucs but since they just fired Lovie, there could be some uncertainty there. On the defensive side of the ball, Tashaun Gipson and Morris Claiborne would be two solid additions.

Indy needs LB depth more than anything.  I can't trust DJax and JFree to be every down 80%+ snaps ILBs for another season.  And  we need rush LB's as well.  I think you draft OL and CB but go after LB's in FA.

Dont Forget We have junior sylvester!! The kid IS going To be amazing If we give him a shot

Eric Berry is just one of my fav players in the NFL so of course I'd love to see him In colts blue  plus I've always dreamed of a ball hawking S on the colts since we hardly ever get INTs anymore :(

I could see an Eric Berry and Clayton Geathers Tandem. Or whoever the pair would be.

Yeah give me Eric Berry.  If he's available I have a strong feeling the Colts will go after him for sure.  I'm willing to bet he'd be all ears too after witnessing what Luck did to them in that playoff game.  Berry is the type of athletic safety we need back there.  I like the idea of a tandem of Eric Berry and Clayton Geathers.  That would give us two big safeties who can hit and roam around back there. Although I'm still wondering how much Geathers will improve with his coverage and playing under control.

I would rather build through the draft and forgo any major moves in FA.  This team needs to get younger, not older.

However, I do feel we need a new option at Center and I am not sure that the solution is on the team currently... This may be one of the only positions I would be OK with getting a FA in, but it has to be someone coming off their first contract, not an aging vet.

I think we have enough pieces to draft for our needs and then in the pre-season if it seems we are still lacking look at some FAs as a stopgap solution.

Just my thoughts...

If you go into the draft with the idea that you're going to "draft for our needs" then you've already lost.

I think grabbing a cheap, fast RB with good hands to go with Gore would be a good idea until next years draft. Cris Johnson from AZ maybe.

Prince is a decent idea for a CB.

I think our future D line is set.

C and RG is most important.  Both should be gotten in top 3 draft picks.

Our new DC should be able to get more out of our present LB's for pass rush..that IS his forte.
