Clark retiring a Colt!

Clark's play was one of the most pivotal aspects of our 2006 playoff run, gashing the Patriots' D time and time again in the 2006 AFCCG down the middle.

Even in 2009 in the SB, Sean Payton decided to double only 1 guy on the team, not Wayne, not Garcon, not Collie, it was Clark. That shows you how good his hands were and how good his chemistry was with Peyton.

One of the top 5 receiving TEs in the league when he played.

Great news!  How can anyone not be a fan of Clark?  Hard working, really nice guy, great teammate.  Thanks for a great career, Dallas!

Not to mention the only Colt player to appear on Criminal Minds. :).

I will admit I wanted the Colts to draft Witten but they got Clark instead.  It didn't take me long to become a huge Clark fan.  I still think my favorite game of his was that game in Miami where the Colts only had the ball like 15 minutes and still won.  Clark caught like a 70+ yard TD pass in that game and really helped the offense just explode.

I remember that.  First play the offense had, Peyton throws to Clark for a TD.  It was like clock-work.  You could tell Clark and Peyton spent a lot of time running that play because it all went perfectly.  Beautiful play.

I was at that game! That TD to Dallas was the very first play of the game, 80 yards right down the middle.

Funny story from that game/play. I was at the game with my friend who is big into fantasy football. He told me multiple times before the game as long as Dallas Clark doesn't get 14 (or so) fantasy points that he would win his fantasy football game. My friend's face after the first play was an 80 yard TD to Dallas was classic.

At the end of the summer a couple of years ago, the interns gathered for a group picture

They discovered afterwards that Dallas Clark had photobombed the shot.

Everyone I ever talked to that ran into him talked about how really nice his is.

@KBowenColts: Clark on Reggie: "He's the guy I admired so much as a player....and just watching him work. There's not a receiver that does what he does."

@HolderStephen: Dallas chokes up when he looks across the room at Reggie Wayne... "Thank you so much... I was hanging onto your coattails."

"He wasn't happy with 6 points, he wanted all 7."

    • Usually, teams that go up 2-0 when 90% of all series once you get into the Semi-Finals and above. Pacers are great at home as well though and was able to get it to 2-2. In the end, the Knicks didn't have the depth that Indy had and that was the difference.

    • Before the draft I had said multiple times I was happy with the offense. Then they were able to land AD in the 2nd and picked up two very good OL prospects. I think the offense is set for the next 3 years and can really do some damage.    The defense is what has concerned me. The three keys I believe are necessary for winning consistently in the NFL are:   Protect your QB - check Get after the other QB - 75% there  Take the ball away and give it back to your QB - middle of the pack.    Will this defense take the next step?  We all know about the young secondary. I kind of agree with the team philosophy of letting the younger players keep playing and see who emerges. Going to be keeping an eye on Cross, Scott and Flowers all season long. I believe this is a pretty big gamble by the team but hopefully 1-2 of them will rise to the occasion and prove to be a starter. Who in the secondary is going to start creating turnovers?     The DL will have a great rotation. If Latu is really the best pass rusher from the draft, this may be one of the deepest lines in the league. I love the DT position and the edge players have a lot of pieces for situational football. The addition of this DL coach looks to be exactly what this team needed to make the next step.    I understand the team still may add someone. Not sure who so not going to speculate much on available FAs. Mainly would like to steer this conversation towards who on this roster is capable of making a difference.  Anyways, interested to hear people’s opinions on who we have and if they can make the next step.
    • Shane Steichen/Anthony Richardson/Jonathan Taylor Michael Pittman Jr/AD Mitchell/Alec Pierce/Josh Downs/Anthony Gould Jelani Woods/Will Mallory/Alex Ogletree/Kylen Gransen A top-five offensive line with all five starters returning with the best depth across the board in a very long time.
