So you want a kicker that had two bad games in a row to quit?  Yeah, that would be really classy. <roll eyes>

I have a better idea ... he fights through two bad games and proceeds to be old reliable for the next 14 games plus 4 playoff games, then retiring as a SuperBowl champion.

Is classy costing your teams games? No retiring when you know it's time is classy. He's not "old reliable" like you seem to think. And the fact that you have the Colts winning the Super Bowl proves you're not thinking clearly.

Him missing kicks that are falling short wouldn't surprise me, but him missing left or right seems like something else besides age.

Age will affect how consistently you strike the ball. It also affects how well you recover from injuries. He was on a once a week kicking schedule, I assume due to an injury. There’s no way to stay sharp kicking once a week. Apparently, twice a week isn’t enough either.

Hey if you have followed Adams carrier through the years , this stuff, does not happen to him! Look at his statistics. This is not what Adam does , Ever! This just means to me that Adam is slipping badly. Maybe if it was another kicker in his prime, it would not be a worry for concern.

But to Adam, it's not like him, And that is a "Concern".

At this point, the way AV is kicking, it really doesn’t matter who they bring in.

There are HIGH SCHOOL kickers who dont miss extra points

The guy has been a legend

But....

He is ruining his legacy by trying to play even one more game.........  He is DONE

Yeah I expect AV to retire tomorrow he know he doesn't have it anymore he's close to 50 he doesn't need to be playing anyway

It’ll be a sad day but the Greatest Kicker of All time deserves a huge thank you and much appreciated. Whenever he does hang it up, he will be missed

Twitter rumors lighting up that he just informed the team he’s announcing retirement tomorrow.... no one big yet though so take it with that in mind

Wouldn’t shock me, he knows he’s hurting the team and has nothing left to prove.  Retire and let the Colts honor him next week at home.  At least he got to go out with a win.

If he is indeed calling it a career, he should get a hero's welcome at the next home game.  Retiring when you're the GOAT, you gave it a go after such a long career, is the very definition of retiring.  He deserves the accolades far more than a 29-year old who quit because of what -could- happen.

I’m not willing to take a chance and find out the answer to that question is a “no”.

There is no “chance.”  The guy we have can’t hit.  We’d be doing just as well with Big Q doing placekicking.

Maybe Rigoberto can kick?  I don’t know.  But I know that Vinny can’t.  He needs to be finished.  He’s already cost us one game and he almost cost us another one today.

It’s hard watching a hall of fame legend  fall so quickly.  He’s been a great kicker for so long, but it seems the time has come to call it a career.  He is still the GOAT.

Yes it is and kickers usually have it happen just like this

Again I don’t know how to post tweets in my iPad but I saw Holder tweeted out that he talked to Adam said they will hear from him tomorrow and when Holder said but we don’t see you tomorrow Adam said yes you will.

It’s posted above already

Hey give him a break ,As long as  he was productive. Naturally he would continue to kick year after year . so this was his wake up call to retire, It happens . If only this would happen to Tom Brady, then the world as we  know it would be back in it's proper alignment. LoL.

I’m not giving a troll a break. That said I agree with the rest
