I think Morrison will be the starter, but they will rotate Edwin Jackson and Josh McNary in a lot.  The second ILB is basically an ILB by Committee.

Maybe Butler is healthier now so they wanted to get rid of Cromartie and his poor play and maybe they weren't liking what they saw from Moore, and would prefer to give reps to the rookies (Morrison/E. Jackson).

Cromartie is horrible.....This is a sign the Colts mean business..

Just means our DBs are getting healthier and the downside of playing Cromartie on the outside outweighed the downside of playing lesser known CBs in zones with safety help.

 

It is one thing to get penalties if you have the talent to keep up with wide outs most of the time that you get called for a grab here and there like the Broncos CBs. It is another thing if you are doing it because you flat out cannot keep up with the younger wide outs.

I am curious what their plan is. Does someone have to be released or waived to make room for Art Jones?  So maybe one could be that?  I am very curious who is going to start for Moore. I'd assume Morrison or maybe Edwin Jackson?  I am not surprised by Cromartie's release, he was awful last week.  Interesting.

Kavell Conner, Curtis Lofton, Nate Irving, and Perry Riley are the best among available LBs. 

Jalil Brown and Darrin Walls are probably the best among available CBs.

Why release these guys now?

 

Why not wait until the end of the season.  It's not like there is anyone available that is going to be an improvement over these guys.  

 

Not unless they are planning on trading draft picks for someone.

Robinson moves to number two which is what he was signed to play and Butler comes back to his nickel spot.
