(Rumour) Gronk- "Colts are soft and so are their fans"

Was listening to JMV (local sports radio host for those who don't know) and he was talking about how Gronk apparently said this about the colts and the fans.

Gronk is a hell of a football player but hes pretty classless IMO. Those comments were not necessary. Makes him sound like a punk.

He's just a dumb big jock who makes millions sadly and can't function mentally past an 8th grade level.

If he thinks I am soft.......well I am willing to have a talk with him some time on things that go beyond grunting, muscles, crushing beer cans and getting plastered.

I think hidden in all this faux anger towards Gronk is that he may be spot on with his assessment of the team.  They were certainly soft last night.  You don't get run on like they did or be so miserable at running themselves and not be soft.  Plus if Gronk was a Colt and he said this about a Pats player he had just trucked, we would all be singing his praises.  The fact he is says it about our team makes him a punk or whatever else he has been called here.

And what he says about the fans - who cares?  I will be able to sleep tonight despite the fact Gronk called me soft.

I truly meant just talking though. Nothing violent. I am a woman and he is a man, there is nothing wrong with some deep conversation.

Personally I would love to interview one of the star athletes in the game and really ask them some real difficult questions for once.

Hes not wrong.. colts as a team was soft.. the fans were soft last night.. if i didnt know any better it sounded like the pats were at home last night.

Were you there? Cuz that stadium was rocking about as loud as I've ever heard in Lucas Oil - especially on 3 rd down. I've been to 6 other stadiums too and only New Orleans was louder than it was here last night. Our fans weren't soft last night. We were face-painted, jersey-decked, blue-bleeding fans. We did our part and yes I'm proud of it. It stung that the defense couldn't do their job. It's a pretty classless thing that Gronk allegedly said but I don't think many of us are surprised.

Gronk is calling somebody soft??? Gronk is the biggest sissy in the league, Always getting hurt and never playing through it.

Completely ignorant statement. Do you even know what his injuries were? I have to guess not or you would not have said this. Gronk and sissy do not mix and getting hurt doesn't make you a sissy.

    • Yeah, Ebukam almost looks clumsy next to Latu. He's just so fluid.
    • Did Hou actually get that much better? This really does remain to be seen. I am of the opinion that the signing of Diggs is a signing that has been made about 2 years too late. He won't be bad, but he isn't a top 10 WR in the NFL anymore. I wouldn't put him as any more dangerous that Pittman, so WR's are a push. We have the better RB, Mixon is great and all, but he is not JT. We have the better Oline, and it isn't even close. TE's are a push, we have a lot of upside, but until it is realised im very "meh" on our TEs. QB - I would argue that Stroud is probably more likely to regress to the mean in year 2 vs improve. That rookie season of his was a bit silly, and they had an easier schedule last season too. If he really does build on last year and get even better, then our entire discourse here is probably irrelevant as we will have another Mahomes level QB on our hands to deal with in the AFC and within the AFC South no less. So unless Richardson is also a Mahomes level talent in that scenario, we are done for anyways. To me, our success in this coming season comes down to 2 groups on this entire team. 1. The QB (because... duh) 2. Our DBs. If we even get average play from the DBs, I think this team has the ability to win the whole damned thing (supposing Richardson stays healthy and is what we all hope he is). I would also argue that Houston are paper thin. If they lose a OL starter, Mixon or even one of their starting WRs.... they have a very big drop off. And injuries happen in the NFL. Just sayin...
    • If he wasn’t fast enough or athletic enough anymore for linebacker, then he’s not going to be able to cut it at Safety where speed , quickness, athleticism are even more important.    Wish it wasn’t so….
    • could he be another bob sanders at that position?
    • Man I love me some Maniac, but it won't happen, and he's too slow after his surgeries.
