Before you get lambasted, it is really a good question.  I think Kevin Bowen said it best - If it wasn't Marlon Mack, just another guy trying to make the team, he probably gets cut.

 

But since we know what he can do, and we think it's just going to take a little more time - YES, he makes the team.

His $2 mill salary is fully guaranteed.   We’re not letting him go.   He’s been in a very limited pitch count to make sure he doesn’t get hurt.

Yes he does.  I believe his limited play in the pre-season is by design due to them working him back in from injury and them taking a close look at other guys who aren’t locked on the roster.

He hasn't shown much because he hasnt played much. And furthermore, the little that he has played, it has been behind a backup OL.

Make no mistake, he will be behind Taylor, but he will play meaningful snaps. Take that to the bank.

If the Rams offered the Michel deal, I'd have been okay with trading him. As it stands, it sounds like we'll probably keep 4 backs.

I think if the Colts get an offer for Mack they will consider it just like the Pats did with Michel.  I would be surprised if he was cut outright.

 I think he makes the team without a doubt.  He is a big part of why the Colts have a very solid RB group.  He'll keep Taylors legs fresh.  He's got more yards and a better YPC than Hines.

mack is a 1000 yard rusher and was almost elite in 2019 he got hurt and is still young .  he is the second best rusher on the team why would he get cut ?   hines improved as a rusher but is no where near mack level .

If anyone id going to get cut, it'll probably be Jordan Wilkins.  Mack is feeling his way back and we know what he can do prior to his injury.

Huh? Mack has looked good in his limited snaps I’ve seen him in PS. Also many reports said he looked good in TC.

Wilkins is not getting cut. We always have carried 4 RB and with Mack coming off injury wilkins is even more important.

People said the same about Vic Ballard until he was cut. Never know how a player will perform after a serious injury.

He's definitely making the team.... and it wouldn't be a shocker if he leads the team in rushing. 

Yeah I know Taylor is scheduled to get more Carrie's but this is football and if a injury happens Mack is there.

He was cut though during the offseason after his second major leg injury, and hadnt just been resigned, it is a different case/situation for him

1. I really hope Mack comes back as strong as he was pre Achilles. Very nice RB.

 

2. I’ve always been a big Jordan Wilkins fan. I think he would be a very good #2 on some teams, if not better.

A shock if a player in the nfl, a player that is expected to get 20 touches or more per game goes down? ......ok.
