That's like saying a Wide Receiver who can't catch is still good because he's a great route runner.

I do when only one stat is looked at. We can juggle stats at our will and make up anything we want to see. A WR very rarely runs the ball. A RB catches passes quite often so by omitting those stats it is over looking him as a player. I am not defending T Rich with this comment but I was defending not seeing the whole picture as far as him being the worst RB in history.

I'll challenge the idea that the Trent we have is the Trent the Browns had.    He's not.    He's not close to the same guy.

 

And I'll post video of Trent as a Brown,  and you'll see that Indy has never had THAT Trent Richardson.    I don't know why,  but we haven't.

All I was trying to see from the highlights was his skill level....   his feet,  his ability to change direction and make people miss...  his vision...    his ability to see the hole,  and get through it...    what he showed on those high lights if FAR more than he ever showed with the Colts.     To me it's almost night and day,  and I'm not saying he was great with Cleveland,  he clearly wasn't.

 

But to me,  he was much, much better with the Browns than he was with the Colts.    The guy we got is not the guy he was with Cleveland.

that would be a horrible trade. We might as well just cut richardson. We'd basically be trading a 6th for a 7th. One trade that could work out is trading T rich + 7th for a slightly higher 7th.

Was listening to 1070 and Joe Staysniak said he heard Trent was basically kicked out and was escorted out of the building. Also, Kravitz said last night on WTHR that he had heard the Colts considered cutting him mid season but did not due to the cap hit. Apparently the feeling in the building was that Trent was not "all in", and even had failed weight checks.

Trent is not a bad player. He just doesn't fit our scheme. Our blocking scheme is better suited for smaller scat backs like Bradshaw and boom. Power backs need a line that powl defenders and that's not our line.

It's funny that everyone here saw the Patriot game with a power OL and RB and know our OL but can't admit it's the OL's fault, not Trent.  Obviously there is a big difference between the 2 teams.  Bradshaw and Boom fit our scheme better, therefore perform better.  Trent needs a powerful interior, which he never has on the Colts.  Put Trent on the Pats, he would do the same thing as Blount to us.  People don't get that though.

Even if you believe he will have great success on another team, you can't really hold onto a player who isn't working for your team.

If Trent goes somewhere else and sets the world on fire but can only produce 3 ypc for this team , then you gotta release him.
