Antonio Brown released by Patriots

Lets examine this. The Pats made the move to get him based on what they knew and what their opinions were of the junk in his bags. To many their reputation already questionable, was damaged even further.  Then they dump him. So what opinions turns in to knowledge? Who told them what? Did they sign him then investigate? This stinks like sidewalk fish.

New threatening texts to the accuser were released this morning.

I highly doubt you see this guy play another down in the NFL.

doesn’t it just make you mad that someone with such god given talent can be so ignorant? The sad part it he’s made more money in a handful of years than most people would make in 10 lifetimes.

Hopefully the guy gets things straightened out for his own personal sake, but I still stand by that he probably will never be on the field for another down in the NFL.

Why is it sad that he made an Uber amount of money? He earned every penny. He can do what most people can't....

He just seems to have some mental health issues. He needs help.

Whatever sad is we won't be able to see this taleneted player play. I was looking forward to seeing him play with the Pats.

He'll be broke as a joke and getting sued for owing people money before you know it.

He'll end up on multiple reality tv shows trying to earn a paycheck so he can pay lawyer fees and settle lawsuits.

And that is truly sad.  Even if he fully deserves his Icarus-like plummet back down to the real world.  :(

Again.......I'll say it. CTE is part of this.

You may be right. I don't recall him behaving this way prior to last year. And his behavior is getting progressively worse. He seems to have issues with impulse control which is one of the early signs of conditions that affect cognition and mood, like CTE.

Supremely talented but got himself pushed out of 3 teams in one calander year.

No point to the NFL investigating now, no one is going to pick him up.

“Antonio Brown was released today by the New England Patriots and is currently an unrestricted free agent,” the NFL said in its statement. “Our office is presently investigating multiple allegations, some of which are the subject of pending litigation. We have as yet made no findings regarding these issues. The investigation is ongoing and will be pursued vigorously and expeditiously.

“As long as Mr. Brown is a free agent, placement on the Commissioner’s exempt list is not appropriate. If he is signed by a club, such placement may become appropriate at any time depending on the status of the investigation. Upon the conclusion of the investigation, he may also be subject to discipline if the investigation finds that he has violated the law or league policies.”

Sounds like the NFL is discouraging any other team from signing him.

How is Drew Rosenhaus selling him now? A black Sharpie crossing out "References" on his resume?! Someone needs to interview him as he crawls through teams begging for a way to dump this gangster.

Ummm, don't think so Drew.

I am actually proud of the Pats for doing this. Brown thinks he is above the NFL, that is clear to most. He dissed the Steelers and Raiders. He is a Diva and has sexual assault allegations against him. It took a guy like Bill Belichick to say goodbye!

He should have been put on the Exempt list the fact that he isn't is bullcrap other players that were in trouble or being investigated were put on that for a lot less.

Above the NFL? Seems he thinks he is the above the law or at least everybody else. He deserves everything bad coming his way. Dispicable person. If all of these allegations prove true, he deserves all the bad things that happen to him in prison.

If there was an arrest, or charges brought, they do so.  They have not (ever) placed any player on exempt list on just the filing of a civil suit(s) alone.  If their (NFL) investigation shows AB was more likely than not and in the wrong, the NFL will likely do so, once isgned by a team. Then await for civil trial results, or any pursuit of criminal charges.

There was no arrest for Peterson when he was placed on that for the investigation of him beating his child with a switch.
