Here is an article I found from 2013. It is when the Cowboys switched from the 3-4 to 4-3.

http://www.espn.com/blog/dallas/cowboys/post/_/id/4708681/new-scheme-old-hat-for-matt-eberflus

Eberflus has ties to the 4-3 during his time at Missouri (article mentions speaking with Lovie Smith and Tony Dungy during the 2000s) but also has ties to the 3-4. He began in the NFL working under Rob Ryan with the Browns and then Dallas.

Here is an article about Peetz from last year. I think someone posted this in another thread too. .

Eberflus was also the passing game coordinator for the Cowboys defense which sounds appealing. We have a solid start on our run defense but their definitely needs to be a focus on pass defense in this pass heavy league.

Our LB core is the weakest link on this team IMO. He will have his work cut out for him. Some of it will have to be talent acquisition, but coaching will be important too...

I just read an article concerning the Cowboys defensive schemes where it stipulates that Rod Marinelli modeled his 4-3 scheme after the Seahawks. So it's not a surprise that he will be the DC as the Seattle connection is strong in our front office and they know how to draft the players that fit that scheme!

Peetz looks like a real bright young guy.  I don’t know what to make of Carr having a bad year though.  I know they had Oline problems.

Heard nothing but good things about Matt.  Switching to a 4-3 isn’t that big a deal as far as personnel.   We’re in a sub package, 4-2-5 more than a 3-4 anyway.

I can't give you any real substantive reason, but I'm not loving that OC choice and on a completely irrelevant level, he looks like a guy that I would not get along with..

Lol!  Well, besides the irrelevant part, I’m sort of with you.  I’m trying to find out more about him.

He advanced rapidly in his career and seems to be a really bright guy.  He obviously didn’t bowl anyone over as a QB coach.  At the end of the season there were some suggestions that he wasn’t qualified for the job.  That’s probably fans blaming someone for the Raiders failure to meet expectations.

If he is I guess it’s not a bad thing. He can make all the throws.

People on this board have been belittling Brady for being nothing more than a "system QB".  I never understood the rationale.

Haha, did you read the linked article?  This guy is extremely humble and missed his opportunity to play to be at the side of his dying brother.  What do you not like about that?

He should get Ken Norton Jr to be the LB coach. Ken was the LB coach in Seattle years ago. He helped Bobby Wagner become an All-Pro.

You can’t belittle 6 rings. If it’s what you need to do to win, do it. Luck would still make those crazy plays too, just have a bit more of a gameplan and more fluid offense.

Read? Me? Pfff..

And he's a goodie two shoes (what's the origin of this phrase?- don't think I'm not googling this..)? Now I really don't like him! (I'm kidding).

The big upside of McDaniels coming here is his offense and play calling. This guy likely won't be a highly involved OC would be my guess.

Not belittling Brady but he threw for over 300 yds Saturday and I think over 200 yards were yards after the catch (yac). Soon much of that is scheme.

Well, yeah..if McDaniels is calling the plays while this guy learns, I'm all about that.

Perhaps she was hacked as it just changed back to his pic in headset.  Also the update and pics either got deleted or went private.

I doubt it. matt probably told her to make the pic private until after hes hired because of league rules

Can't wait to see how Josh uses some of our personnel. I can totally see Chester Rogers in Danny Amendolas role. I can definitely see him making great use of Mack. He will probably get used a lot like what we saw Saturday night or much in the same way Mcdaniels used Knowshon Moreno in Denver. Definitely want to see what he does with Swoope and Doyle.
