How big a part does the Colts organization play in your life?

I think about the team often, particularly when on the toilet or cutting the grass.

What an amazing coincidence!!

I think of you often,  particularly when on the toilet.     But not so much when cutting the grass.

Hey,  it's a small world.....

I usually have the Colts message board open on my computer at work so I guess I think about the Colts pretty often. Sometimes when I'm bored at home I'll pull it up on my phone. I watch every game and if for some reason I miss one, it hurts a little bit. haha

I endured multiple losing seasons, a HOF QB that refused to play for them, a move from my home state (MD), ridicule from fans in my home state (MD) who became Redskins fans and enjoyed success at same time, and then more losing seasons (before the Glorious Era of Peyton Thank You God Manning.) Is that enough? My love and loyal support never waivered though, I bleed Colts blue through and through

Why did you continue to support a team that abandoned your city and fan base?

My wife came to me in the middle of the 2009 season and said she wanted to adopt a baby. We had been fortunate enough to go to the super bowl in 2006 and my first response to her in 2009 was "does this mean we can't go to the super bowl if the colts make it there?"

So I would say they are a big part of our life but as you can see from the avatar they somehow became less important.

I think about them often but I'm just a fan and I enjoy it, it's entertainment.

I don't think I could use the word love.  I have a wife and two babies at home (1 is 16 months the other 8 days old), that's what love is.

Congrats on the newborn :cloud9:

I love them like the female I don't have. But seriously, I spend at least four hours a day reading these forums and such. Way more interesting than that math and economics stuff those professors are trying to teach me. Also anytime I'm bored, the first website I instinctively type in is this or ESPN for general foosball news.

Did you take the baby to the SB?

Congrats Skinnz, I'm also raising the next generation of Colts fans.

This team is my joy on Sundays. Our owner believes in God. When we won the first person he thanked was God. We'd be no where without God. Love each of our players! I get on AC's case because he can play a lot better. Then theirs all of you guys. We have the best fans. This is an incredible group on this forum.

Ha! This was right after the Haiti earthquake and lots of kids were orphaned and as announced in my church, needed homes. So my wife says lets get one. Who would have thought there is an actual approval process that you have to go through first. Long story short - our daughter did not come to us until last year so no chance for her to go to the super bowl. At least not yet....

How old are yours?

Mine are college age. I'm a Buckeye with Bama kids, so I failed in the college fandom. But they're big Colts fans.

Enough to have been following them as a kid from NY since 1972 and finally seeing them live for the first time ever by making a 12 hour road trip this year vs the Titans. I got into them from watching This Week in Pro Football. I have been watching them every Sunday since 2004 when made the switch to get NFL Ticket. Before that, whenever on local channels.

When on a working holiday in the States i told my boss i couldnt work sundays due to religious reasons so i could watch nfl all day.

Once back in New Zealand i work on the weekends so i can stay at home monday mornings to watch the 1pm and 4pm games.

I also proposed to my wife in las vegas as i was in such a good mood after watching the Colts just beat the jags on TNF in the MGM Grand sportsbook.

Huge fan and i have nothing but love for the organization. I became a fan of the team growing up watching the games with my grandfather. It's interesting because im from Connecticut and mostly everyone local is either a Pats or Giants fan. Not to sure how my Grandfather became to love the Colts being as he is from the south and all. But thanks to him im a proud Fan since i can remember. May my grandfather, Rest in peace!

I got season tickets last year. Wife and i make the 290mi drive one way for almost every game. We stay over either Saturday or Sunday night depending on what tine the game is. We go out on Saturday night to eat and drink at the Ram or Colts Grille and bar hop till around 9 or 10. We usually drop about $250 in food and drinks or on the town and at the game. Add in hotel, game tickets, and gas and its a pretty penny to show our love for the COLTS.

That's actually a good question. I could never "hate or dislike" the Colts even if I tried. Partially because I was 14 years old and didn`t know any better when they left and partially because the fan base in Baltimore I felt/feel like kind of abandoned them too before they moved. Less than 30,000 fans at their last home game or something like that.

On top of that, if he's in southern MD, that is Redskins country. The Colts old fan base generally never went south of Laurel Md.

For the most part you are correct. My whole Moms side of the family were/are still Redskins fans. My Dad always liked to go against the grain so he liked the Colts thus a little Colts fan was born (ME) when I grew old enough to watch and emulate Bert Jones and Roger Carr out in the front yard. Guess I lived far enough away not to be persuaded to hate lol. Besides, they were my heroes..its not that easy

I have worked the same job for 18 years.

That job had me working most Sundays and Mondays. I decided to quit before the regular season and look for a job where I can watch all the games.

I haven't found the perfect job yet..but I have seen every game this year for the first time in 20 years.
