Colts vs Steelers predictions

I'm kind of worried about this game. If all sides continue to play well I still see it being a close one.

It's never easy to go into Pitts and win.

I'll say Colts 30-23.

Yep, I was on the fence about this game. But I have a feeling they won't be able to handle us. We shall see.

Pittsburgh's field seems to be sloppy which could slow our offense down a bit. With Wayne and Richardson slightly banged up, our offense could also sputter this week. Bold prediction - Nicks catches 4 passes for 75+ yards and a score.

Expect our defense to continue to dominate for the most part...as Big Ben tries to extend plays, our pass rush gets to him several times, including one strip-sack. Bell and Brown will each have a couple BIG plays because they are solid, but we will limit them enough to stay ahead. Bold prediction - 5 sacks & 2 INT's.

31-14

Only our turnovers will make this game close. If we have a clean game its an easy win.

Plus... I will be at the game. Look for me on TV in my blue Colts gear around the 40 yard line!

Gonna have to be more specific than that. I'm sure you won't be the only blue person around the 40 yard line even if it is a away game

Agreed! For those of us lucky enough to occasionally see the Colts on the road I think they would be surprised at the following the Colts have. No, we aren't the Steelers in terms of a traveling fan base. But we aren't the Jaguars either. We once had a "Go Colts" chant at LP field against the Titans. And Colts fans were overflowing at the 3 games I attended in Jacksonville. We even had a good representation in Green Bay when we were there a few years ago. I can't wait to see how much blue there is in Heinz field.

these are not the Steelers anyone is used to seeing.  they are a 'phony' 4-3 right now.. they are a below average team.  only reason they have a chance Sunday is because they're at home.

Colts 27

Steelers 17

edit:  pretty pathetic resume if you ask me.

Nicks and the defense huh?  I like it.  If it plays out like this, it bodes well for the rest of the season.  An engaged Nicks and a dependable defense that can go on the road and dominate away from Lucas Oil will serve notice to the league.

Colts 23-21.

Yep, I've felt that the Steelers have been pretty over-rated all year.  Even their win on Monday was pretty marred.  Basically, it was 72 seconds of domination by the Steelers, and over 58 minutes in which Houston was pretty much kicking butt.  Pitt loses that game 95% of the time that the two teams play as they did - this was the one time in twenty that Pitt somehow pulls out a win.  That being said, this is the NFL and Pitt has some talent, so there is easily the potential that they win this game.  I'm not fool enough to believe the Colts win just by showing up...

Our D-Line with the return of Jones will overwhelm the Steelers O-Line. They are #2 in the league this year in sacks allowed, and are on pace to allow 46 sacks this season.

Their D isn't the days of old with an elite James Harrison, Lamarr Woodley, Casey Hampton, Aaron Smith, etc...and will struggle to stop our offense.

I predict a game very similar to the Ravens-Steelers game, 26-6 or so. Maybe 26-13 given the game is on the road.

Yep. They were lucky to beat Houston.

    • No, and this is not news.  For a while, folks have been leaning on the Buckner trade as being a great (use of) pick.  But Buck was known as a very good NFL player already, which is not the same thing as using picks on college players you think should be good.  The college evaluation/valuation process has not been good.  That's pretty evident, IMO.
    • Easiest way to fix the Colts defense is to fire Gus Bradley. First it was Michael Lombardi (who I generally don't agree with) who said that Gus defense is simple and now even JJ Watt has said that he runs a defense that doesn't make adjustments for the opponent and defensives that that don't do that generally fail in the NFL. It's interesting to see two weeks in and more and more people are coming out and saying that " Bradley's system is ineffective."   It won't help us much this year but I do believe that Bradley's system is holding back the talent on the defense and him having favorites puts blinders on improving positions (Facyson).
    • When  it is his draft year, he will most likely be the number 1 pick if he continues to excel. There is not doubt in my mind that if the team that is picking is a complete dumpster fire. The Mannings will pull another Eli. They will have a lot of control and the team that is drafting him will have to give into the Manning's recommendations. Thats the way it should be. I always said Bryce Young would be a bust due to his body makeup. That being said, he is getting no help in Carolina and it basically looks like his career is over after only 2 years. This will not happen to Manning. I bet if  Manning's draft year next  was in 2025 and Carolina had the pick.  The Mannings would probably have a list of demands before even entertaining the thought of Manning going there and that is the way it should be.
    • Hey all, been a while. Not sure what to expect on Sunday, Bears offensive line has been horrible. I don't see them being in sync anytime soon. I think it'll be a close game with Colts winning at home.
    • Denver is a huge market actually.  It covers the entire country west of KC, HOU, and DAL except the coast and provides many more opportunities for exposure than Indy.  I don't think Irsay cutting Peyton would have anything to do it.  I think Peyton teases that stuff sometimes just for a little attention.
