  1. I still think he is the best QB in college. Was shocked to see how much he struggled vs ND but I still think he is better than Maye.
  2. If this is really true, better concentrate on playing college football before making demands on the next level. He went up against a team that has some NFL prospects on defense and didn't look good at all.
  3. Don't see Bears looking to make a trade for Taylor. Poles won't give up draft capital. You can have Velus Jones Jr for free. WR room is crowded and can't use him for special teams because he can't catch punts.
  4. That trade may work. It is just so tough to determine the value of a good RB. The position has been devalued over time, but RBs still continue to take on a heavy work load. Teams are not willing to pay top $$ for a RB but want high picks in return to trade a good back?
  5. I don't see anyone offering a 1st or 2nd rounder. He has injury history and will be looking for a new contract. Unless the Colts are willing to accept a 3rd or lower if another player is included, he won't go anywhere.
  6. Lions signed David Montgomery and drafted a RB in the first round. Don't think they will be interested.
  7. Think about it, Miami could have had Dalvin Cook without giving up draft capital. They didn't want to spend the money. I don't think they will be willing to give up assets + $$ to get Taylor.
  8. Lol, I think the RB market has changed a lot since the days of the Richardson trade. It has just taking some players a while to accept it.
  9. Doubt there is any team desperate enough to give up 1st or second round pick for a RB coming off injury and wants a new contract. May be able to get a 3rd at best. Other than Minnesota, NFC North is loaded very good RBs. And the Vikings are trying to shed contracts not take on another burden.
  10. Guess you were right. Would have liked to see Fields get some PT. From the looks of it sounds like he had a decent practice.
  11. If you compare their college stats, not much different in rushing attempts. AR: 161 rushing attempts, in 22 games, 7.3 rushes/game JF: 260 rushing attempts, in 34 games, 7.6 rushes/game AR: 3105 passing yds, 24TDs, 15INTs, in 22 games JF: 5373 passing yds, 63TDs, 9INTs, in 34 games
  12. It's just me, but I'm not taking a QB of Young's size #1 overall. I am okay surrounding Fields with talent and letting him try to prove himself. Also like having options with 2 first rounders and two 4th round picks next year. It is a long season and nobody knows how it will turn out, but I do like where my team is sitting right now.
  13. Funny thing is, you can make the same statement about Florida QBs. Tebow, Wuerffel, Matthews, Spurrier, Grossman.... IMO, Past performance from a particular school means nothing.
  14. You may be right, we shall see. But our GM has set it up where we have 2 first round picks (thanks Carolina!) in a nice QB class, in case things don't pan out with QB1. Just like I've been saying.
  15. I still feel like they will play the starters into the second quarter or the half. Maybe things have changed but the second to last preseason game has usually been where you see starters get most PT. It has been a couple of years since Bears have been in joint practices though, so not 100% certain.
