...and that team might be Cincy.  There's always a sexy pre-season pick who underachieves during the season.  Also, NE finally looks vunerable and all the injuries/defections will catch up with Brady.  Don't be surprised if Miami overtakes NE and wins the east.

We can go 10-6 and be a much better team than the one who went 11-5.  We'll have a sense of where this team is after the 1st Hou game.

With this team, I'd still rather go 10-6 as a WC and have another one & done in the playoffs than miss the playoffs entirely for a higher draft pick.

I agree 10-6 & get a wild card right behind Houston.

I said 9-7 or 10-6. Still sticking with that. I thought this team still had some holes (mainly D-line and O-line) before the year and we have a tough schedule to boot. We have the QB and some other pieces but we're not there yet IMO.

Not sure why the doom and gloom though after this loss. The Dolphins are a solid team and we were maybe 1-2 plays away from things going the other way.

One missed Colts FG, 2 chances for Dolphins to attempt a FG, a penalty that was not a penalty negating a Colts TD and a pass that never should have been thrown. Colts win and 2-0? There were flashes of a very good Colts team Sunday and flashes of not so good, optimistically hoping some adjustments will bring out the good consistently

I wouldn't be shocked to see this team finish at 6-10 or 7-9 based on schedule and the way they have looked at home in the first 2 weeks.  Some of the games i thought would be wins i am now not as confident in as those teams seem to be playing pretty good football so far and we will be on the road for them. The stretch coming up here is really brutal, we may not win a game in October.  I think this stretch will dictate how the rest of the year goes. If we can steal one or 2, we will be ok.  If not, i think it spirals out of control.

You get it, others don't.

Obviously Pagano should be fired! How dare he go 1-1!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm reading that as 8-8.  Unless you're not counting the maybe for the Cardinals.

This place will be on funeral watch after the Houston game if this comes to pass.  The sad thing is that 2-6 actually looks pretty likely at that point.  If we're at 3 or 4 wins we'll actually be in decent shape.

No it doesn't. I think we'll beat Jax. SD and Sea to be 4-4 at that point. Then we'll have to hit our stride to make the playoffs

If you guys would have started this thread last year after week 2 when the Colts were 1-1 the predictions probably would have been maybe 4-12 or 5-11. It's a long season and who knows, if they can pull off a miracle in San Fran then maybe it could kick start a long winning streak much like that Packers game kick started our season last year. IMO, no matter how many games the Colts win this year, they will still be a better team than last year as a young team gaining experience for the years to come.

Seattle, for my money, is the best team in the league.  They run the ball well and they should have one of the best defenses of the last decade (or longer).  Russell Wilson is probably their biggest question mark, and he's looking pretty good so far.

As I said earlier, if we win that game I'm raising my expectations for the season dramatically, and I already have us at 10 wins.

I have us at 3-5 through the first half, beating SD and Jax, agree with you there.  I have us finishing 7-1, against a weaker looking back half of the schedule.

I felt that the Miami game was going to show us if we were legit playoff contenders or mediocre this year with perhaps one big surprising win, but 3-4 bad losses.  Miami and Cincy were two must win games to make the playoffs as a wild card.  Our only real shot now is to sweep Houston and all our AFC South opponents and best KC and the other teams we SHOULD beat and try to tie Houston and win the south.  I doubt either team would qualify as Wild Cards under this scenario.  We have to run the table and pick up 1 unexpected win (Seattle perhaps as their Offense is weaker than people expect and their D while the best by far this year might be decoded by Andrew by that point.. though I could see us not scoring and giving up a pick 6 and losing like SF lost.  SF at home would be the upset of the year so far, even more than Seattle at our place.  We HAVE to sweep Houston which I think is entirely possible.  Our division is one of the weakest in the league this year.

Best Case: 10-6

Worst Case: 6-10 (other than Luck getting hurt)

PS: Can we please start Hilton now?  DHB should be the 3 and will likely be more productive and Hilton can't be less productive.

This is how I felt going into the season and still where I think we will end up. I can see 8-8 to 10-6 depending on injuries, how the OL and linebackers progress.

The doom and gloom comes from to high of expectations.  Fans allowed our crazy season last year to blind themselves to the fact we are still a massive rebuild project for Girgson and Pagano. We still have a lot of work to do on both sides of the ball and people ignored that and thought we were a real contender.

Well your pot and the average toilet share a lot of similarities.

You just can't deal with anyone who is not a shameless cheerleader for the Colts. Well, there are a lot of people here who are not mindless cheerleaders. If you can't deal with it, take your dog and go elsewhere....

So, anyone who has more optimism about the Colts than you is a mindless, shameless cheerleader, right? Is that how it works?

Absolutely not. But the people that refuse to see glaring faults and scream that the team is going to the Super Bowl, Andrew Luck is the MVP and we will wallop the 49ers this week certainly are. I am always for enthusiasm. I am not into mindless homerism.
