He will take his time and pick the best team he can who will give him a shot at playing time.  If he's smart he'll sign for peanuts and play like he did when he was trying to make his name in this league.  Then he might get a ring plus another deal when some team is stupid enough to pay him again in FA.

I doubt he plays anywhere else this season due to his contract, however he played too well for to long for a team to not take a swing on him. Honestly another year to recover will do him well and he probably we play again at a high level.

Maybe if he changed his name back to Daruis Leonard that would help. That version was who everyone remembered.

He has no contract.  He is a free agent

Apparently the Eagles are too.  He’ll go somewhere that doesn’t really need him to start, and is in playoff contention.  Good depth piece with little risk.

You could be right, however I think the big smile was a reaction to the love and applause he was getting from the crowd.

His back injury is worse than we were told and I get that but when he played he was timed and afraid. He needs to change his attitude from a victim back into a football player again

He'll bounce around to a few teams and practice squads, maybe get some playing time for a team who thinks they can fix him. My guess is he's out of the NFL in 2 years or less.

According to CBS he’s going to choose either Eagles or Cowboys this weekend.

If CBS is right it'll be the Eagles most likely since Cunningham is injured.  Not sure he could get on the field for the Cowboys.

So far Leonard has visited the Cowboys and the Eagles, so he's getting looks from high level teams. I'm hoping he goes to the Eagles and wins a super bowl as it would be good to see him have some success.

Darius Leonard was the Maniac

Shaq Leonard was the player formerly known as the Maniac.

 

Sad to see him decline due to injuries, but he´s not coming back unless a team gets him on a very cheap contract with no guaranteed money.

Shaq Leonard has visited with the Philadelphia Eagles.

 

The Dallas Cowboys have also expressed interest.

 The answer being, near zero, playing time will again be a issue.

Someone is going to sign him that’s not even a question.  Teams take flyers on worse players trying to comeback from injury than Shaq all the time.

So turns out the Eagles did sign him. I wish him nothing but the best. Hopefully things will turn out the best for both parties in the end.
