Colts Jerseys

I'm sure that everyone here represents our team with at least one jersey.

1.  Which Colts players "authentic" (sewn on letters & numbers) do you own?

2.  Which Colts players replica (screened on letters and numbers) do you own?

My jerseys:

  • #32 Edgerrin James - bought in 2000 after his rookie year
  • #21 Bob Sanders - bought 2006 after Edge signed with the Cardinals
  • #51 Pat Angerer - bought 2011 after Colts released Sanders
  • #56 Quenton Nelson - bought 2018 right after he was drafted
  • #14 Bilbo Baggins - gift from a friend

I get a blue or white T Shirt and draw a 7 on it(white or blue) for Bert Jones. I use a pastel oil stik and then spray it with hair spray to seal it. I only use what's handy.

That's about all pastel oil stiks are good for because I tried but don't like using them for art. They resemble crayons the way I use them. haha

Been rocking my Faulk jersey since JT came on board. It was way in the back of the jersey rotation and closet.

Still got my white Edge Puma made jersey somewhere. I always liked that one for some reason.

The Puma replica jerseys were fantastic. Perfect fits. I had a Harrison one and a James one.

Why would an Indy fan want a Unitas or Bert Jones jersey ? Just curious.

Why do you see a random 18 yo kid wearing a Unitas jersey, is a better question. I see it from time to time.

I remember a topic on jerseys years back and debating this, but I'll always think the blue from pre-2000'ish isn't the same as what we have now. I feel like it was a better blue for whatever reason back then, unless it's just my eyes.

1. Unitas white #19 and Luck blue #12

2. Manning blue #18 (was a gift and the giver didn't realize the sewn on jerseys were better; Rob Morris - blue #94 (purchased at a Colts Caravan event from a bin full of discounted jerseys and shirts.  Got it because it was the only one that fit; generic #42 blue that I don't remember where I got it.

Your friend is an amazing person.

Does Bilbo happen to play safety? I'm a little worried his height may be an issue but he does have a ring...

I have an Andrew Luck #12 jersey (blue) that I bought the year he was injured. Got it 70% off for $30. Guess they didn't think he'd play again. I did have a #18 Manning (white) with the Super Bowl patch on it back in high school. Got too small and sold it for $120 to a friend.

    • No arguments at all.  Pretty accurate.     The idea that the defense can be elite any time soon is a pipe dream.  It can be playoff caliber though.  It should be able to stop a playoff caliber offense when it needs the stop 50% of the time, or hold it to a FG instead of a TD late in the game.  That's the goal for me.  Elite? Out of the question.   Get a FS and then Blackmon and Willis' role makes sense when Willis is in for the 3rd LB, which is a lot.  Okay there. Get a better CB than RYS, and RYS can be the #2 zone Corner that can match up against the other team's physical X.  Okay there. Moore is a good slot.  I think Rodgers has potential there.  Okay there. Leonard is what he his. He seems somewhere around top 5 in the league, not top 2.  Okay there. Oke has not taken the next step.  He's not good in coverage and he's not really a stout run stopper.  But if he's the weakest link on the defense, its okay. Paye is a keeper. Dayo at LDE, then Turay on passing downs when Dayo moves inside.  Okay there.  Could get a Houston type of FA or another young player late in the draft.  Defo, okay there.  I'd like to see Dayo in at 3T to give him a breather once Dayo learns the interior. Stewart.  Never saw the love.  IMO, need a better player next to Defo, but I don't see Stewart getting cut. Rochell, Stallworth, AQM and the other dlinemen are just short timers that can be replaced during FA season.  Sign all three if you want.  They will occasionally make plays.   If I'm Ballard, the bolded are my 2nd, 3rd, and possibly 4th round draft picks (possibly a LBer).  If Grover or Oke is our weakest player, then we're okay, but having both is a liability.    Offense needs a deep threat, could still be PC or a FA.  Need a young OT.....5th round.  Lots of tall and athletic but raw guys in this draft it seems.
    • Their defense is going to try to make your offense do things the offense doesn't want to do. Your offense is going to try to make their defense do things their defense doesn't want to do. The only question is: Given that's what teams are trying to do, what mix of plays will confuse the heck out of what they are trying to do?   While you are trying to figure that out, don't confuse the heck out of yourselves.
    • Do the people at science know this? Did anyone tell them? Their minds are gonna be blown.
