Pass rush

I know it's early but I'm very worried .Autry ,Houston and Turay to name a few .No one getting home

This is the main reason ted secondary looks bad.  Good pash rush will help the secondary look good. Why is AQM stepping back in coverage. Where are the Kenny Moore blitzes. We used speed. Makes no sense at all.

The refs also never seem to call holding anymore.

I remember Turay and Autry getting blatently held on two occasions off the top of my head.

 

Eber definitely has to figure something out or it's going to be a long ugly season.

I'm astonished at home bad the pass rush is. Zero sacks, and we made him move up in the pocket two times ALL game. One for a strike across the middle, and the other he threw away. Very surprised

The raiders have a BIG Oline. Problem is, our defense is supposed to be playing with a lead.. that is the whole idea of the tampa 2. It DOES NOT work if you are playing from behind. 

Asking our little tackles to stop the run is not realistic. Hunt is the only dependable DT we have on the team for run defense. 

I am impressed with Khari Willis, and I'm liking Okereke as well. DLine is still a weakness.

Our defense is going to need to be more versatile moving forward. I just don't see how they think this defense can beat NE, KC, or even the middle tier offenses.

Yeah, since the first two games the pass rush has been pretty putrid.

Autry had a 2 sack game against the Titans but has been mostly absent outside of that. Turay has shown flashes, Houston has gotten some pressures, but as a whole the pass rush has not been a bright spot for the defense.

Ballard wants to go light but today showed why light defensive lines don’t wook.

There was a huge disconnect in the front seven. They don't look like they're balanced. It seems that way too many screens over the middle are connecting we're playing too deep off of the ball and we have zero pass rush. This is on the coaches and the scheme and it better change soon we're going to be in trouble if we pull this stuff today next week we're going to lose by 40

They do work when you are playing with a lead. 
We need some heavies to put in to stop the run, and we just do not have any.

I agree, they don't look cohesive. That 2nd end around by the WR ( I forget his name) He was able to completely back track and run up the right side of the field after we had him stopped.

Yup. I think he's been in there for an injured starter but from what I've read he's been serviceable.

Yup, Denzel Good plays for them and he played pretty well. Had a couple good run blocks too.

What happened to all the line stunts, twists and some of the other stuff we did to get home last year?  Also the blitzing needs to increase a bit more.

Its called desperation.  The front 4 can't get through so Eberflus is trying anything.

Very disappointing, especially with Sheard coming back.  Didn't notice much blitzing yesterday.  That might have been good to try since they were carving us up regardless.

The pass rush has been non-existent. But IIRC the D looked really bad early last year before turning it on. We have a lot of young guys getting time. Hopefully they begin to gel and hit their stride soon.

They also lost containment and didn't set the edges properly the 2 reverse calls to Trevor Davis kinda underline that. From what I can see this can be fixed. Didn't play a very good game on all fronts but the tape should show where improvement is needed.

I think we need to uptick the blitzing and all the line stunts we did last year.

It's what you have to do when your not getting consistent pressure.

i blame the scheme last year we were an attacking DEF this year we are just sitting back and letting what comes arrive
