Another option instead of trading him for a late draft pick is acquiring a talented backup swing OL player. Jon Robinson, Titans GM, did a similar trade before last year when he traded Dorial Green Beckham to Philly for OT Dennis Kelley. Kelley has done well in Tennessee as a quality backup OT.

This is what i thought.  How many rumors do you think start from this forum?  Eisen will be saying monday that Luck is looking fro a new team. (Another crazy thread here)

I have no idea how many rumors start here, but there are some crazy ideas being floated around. I think most of the rumors have some source to back it up. For this rumor, I'd need to hear it from a better source than Michael Lombardi to believe it.

It honestly would be stupid to trade him to division foes lol..for those suggesting that ^^^ why give them another deep threat

Yeah, there would need to be a premium on the pick if it was going to another team in the division. We know Houston liked him in 2015 (before they got Fuller) but if they want him make them pony up their 3rd (they already don't have a 1st or 2nd rounder next year) haha.

I'd trade Chud for a $2 bill and a half eaten snickers bar. Get an innovative OC (a HC would be even better) in here. If Dorsett doesn't flourish under him, then trade him. As of now, I place the majority of blame on Chud & his helter skelter gameplans. It's been 3 years & we still have no offensive identity under this clown.

The only person dumb enough to pull the trigger on a trade for Dorsett is the guy who was dumb enough to bring him here in the first place. Hello, Cleveland?...Have we got a deal for you!

I told my wife that PD is rumored to be on the trade market... then reminded her he was our first round pick three drafts ago by RG.

She said back to me, with a disappointed look on her face, "and where is RG now?"  She is a Browns fan by the way...

I'd be fine with trading him. We could use either o-line help, or someone on defense, or I'd even be fine with a mid-round draft pick. Right now we have some promising WR's, and our WR corp is all still young, including Hilton. We need to offload some of this baggage, because there's only so many pass plays to go around.

I read where Pagano was frustrated about players going to the trainers for nicks, cuts, bumps and bruises and not playing through minimal injuries.

Was Dorsett one of the guys he was referring to?

I think he's the main guy Pagano was talking about.

I honestly don't think we utilize Dorsett the right way. If no one is willing to give up a 3rd rounder pick for him then we should keep him around. He's still in his rookie deal and isn't breaking the bank.

Trading Dorsett with Moncrief being a free agent at the end of the season isn't a smart move at all. If we lose both of them that would be a huge blow to our receiving corps.

The kid can fly... so why not have him out there receiving kicks and punts? Throw some screens to the kid or reverses. My god get creative and just get the ball into his hands.

Trading someone with that much potential for a 5th or 6th RD pick would just be stupid.

Trade him to the Patriots and watch him have a career year. SMH.

It doesn't make much sense to trade him if you aren't going to get anything you can use in return.  To give up on a high pick in just the start of his 3rd season just "to get rid of him" is kinda dumb.  Now if you can get someone that can help you in return, that's one thing.  But to give him up for a spare tire is not smart IMHO.  But in all honesty, who is going to give the Colts something good for him?  As many have said, what has he shown to this point that is worth it?  We may as well keep trying to make him into a player at this point.

Actually his $2,2M salary is more likely an impediment to dumping him for some teams.
I like Big Bug and or JoJo for $465,000.

I doubt there is room for both on the 53 but I really like both those guys as well. Natson is the big play speedster/returner, and Howard is the go up and get it,  hands like glue type. I honestly think with TY, Rogers and Natson all being similar in size/style that Dorset is expendable in coaches eyes.

I think the Cardinals might be a good fit for Dorsett. No idea what value he has but they might be interested in adding a receiver. Bruce would be a great coach for Dorsett, imo.

Exactly. Trade him to the Cardinals or Saints and watch Arians or Payton put up numbers with him...  I'm so sick of our coaching staff. There was always one thing we could count on here in Indy, and that was a dynamic offense.

It's been getting more and more inconsistent the past few years. I'm sure Luck's injury has to be a factor but I think our coaching is the biggest problem. I'm a diehard fan. I think every year is our year. This is only the 2nd season in nearly the last 20 years where I'm having serious doubts about our ability to compete.

Please Luck come back and prove me wrong for doubting the Horseshoe.
