If the reports were true that the Jets were trying to trade up ahead of the Bills, I'd be highly upset  if the Colts didn't field the call and strongly consider trading back.  But Kelly is a good pick

Yeah.  The Jest would have been the perfect landing spot for the Colts.

I hope they draft an IT guy in the second that can keep the site from lagging when ever there is more than 10 people on line

I was thinking the same thing, it got to the Colts pick and the site just crashed.  The front office might want to invest in a few more hamster wheels to up the server speed.

@Nadine can we let IP know?  The site completely crashed before the Colts came on the clock

I think we will appreciate this pick more as time goes on. I heard so many "experts" target Taylor Decker or Conklin for the Colts and I shake my head. If Goode and Thompson/Reich  pan out, Kelly could be the missing piece.

Now we need a ILB or OLB.

Love the pick on its own merit. Kelly is an example of compensating for past failures at that position by spending a high pick. 4 years it took for us to get our center of the future and now we've to compensate for Werner somehow. Let's hope Myles Jack or Noah Spence falls all the way to our 2nd round pick :)

Seems like Billings will be available in the second round. Although I think we will be looking for a pass rusher.

Billings could improve the pass rush from the middle.  That's something the Colts have never had for as long as I can remember.

I didn't think we'd go Kelly but I'm happy with pick for sure!!! We get a center who has the physical ability and the mental ability along with being versatile. An anchor for us up front that we needed and he could really make a difference for us. Now I want DEFENSE though!!!!

Very good pick for the Colts. Vikings fans on our thread believe this is Grigson's best draft pick (outside of Luck, of course).

My Vikes are coming up. My guys Karl Joseph and Sheldon Rankins are gone. I want Doctson but Houston may take him. I don't mind getting Jack for an all-Bruins LB corps. We've been dreaming this and it may come to pass. Still want Doctson.

    • It clearly isn’t all the line  in panthers land. Dalton had no issues. Young is small and meak. He gets swamped up. He isnt like Murray. If young had Murray’s body type he might be ok but he doesn’t. He looks like he don’t know what he is doing.
    • That is so far my third biggest gripe with SS.  First being his offense seems very vanilla.  We are approaching Frank Reich status here.   Second I don't think AR is making as much progress as he should be.   Third he seems to make very poor in game decisions and then takes the blame as if that is a huge testament to his character.   I could care less about character.  Just learn how to coach.  And when the clock is at 2:01 and you have a kickoff coming against a team with 1 timeout left?  You run the ball out of the endzone and you literally scream at your special teamers or your special teams coach to do that.   The fact that he didn't literally tells me he is a stupid person when it comes to football IQ.
    • What did you think of Luck after his first 7 games? How about Peyton Manning? Josh Allen? Richardson has a higher completion percentage (54.8) than Luck ( 49.5) and Allen ( 52.8) through his first 7 games. And less than 5% completion percentage behind Manning (59.5). Richardson has more Yards per throw (7.4) than any of them (Manning 7.1, Allen 6.8 and Luck 6.5) . Richardson has a higher QB rating (72.7) than Manning (71.8) and Luck (65.9), and less than 4% points behind Allen (76.3). Sure..... Allen is the exception that proves the rule.... ok. Richardson's accuracy is the type of throws that CAN be fixed. Those short and intermediate throws are easier to fix than the deeper routes. And oh by the way, it's not like we havent seen him do it. He had a darned near 60% completion percentage last year in the games he played as a pure rookie. The guy is coming off of season ending surgery and had no offseason and you are writing him off..... give me a break.
    • Today AR is ahead, but he wasn’t when they were picked. Young WAS far more accurate in College. And he led a team to a National Championship.  That has to mean something.
