Greg Toler is so damn injury prone it's ridiculous. He's good and effective when he's healthy, but that's rare for him.

Toler has had more time watching the games than actual game action, and honestly I'm not sure why we keep him around when we can hardly use him.

But you do know we don't have to play with 9 guys on defense, right?  We do have other professional athletes that play the positions.

 

On a completely unrelated note, I was reading the Patriots boards.  They lost their SB winning defensive backfield and replaced them with some guys they found wandering around the stadium.  But they don't seem to be giving up on their team.

Ya, so let's keep signing d lineman and linebackers when we desperately need corners and offensive linemen. For grigson to be a former offensive lineman he sure doesn't think protecting luck is important

This makes the most sense, IMO. Because even if it is Vontae Davis, one guy cannot cover Marshall, IMO. So, if you are going to give safety help, you'd rather do it for Marshall and let VD shut down the other guy 1-on-1.

 

If there is a game Manusky and the pass rush earns their keep, this is the one. But then, if the Jets choose to run with Ivory, all bets are off. Stop the run, force 3rd and longs at home and Fitzpatrick will turn it over, IMO. 3rd and long gives us the luxury of blitzing as well where DQ and Jackson are better at than their regular assignments, lol

The 3rd CB had 17 snaps last week. The starters had 58 and 55 out of 59.

Desperately need corners? Now? sure. But just in general, we're pretty good in terms of depth at Corner. We just got REALLY unlucky.

That's a good idea being there are so many to choose from. I am sure any ol corner or linemen will work.

Yep 62 yards and one TD was really smoking last week.
