I like Cole but can we please get someone under 30

I would like to see some guys under 30 as well but the spots we are signing vets we have youth behind them WR is obvious RB I think we all expect another back in the draft Newsome behind Cole.

It is a good thing to have some guys who have been through the wars on the team. If you take AV and Hasselbeck out of the equation we were a pretty young team last year.

anything over 4m i'll flip

Prepare to flip.    It'll be over 4 Mil.     That's the cost of the market place.

Take a deep breath.....     this is a solid move.     No move is made in a vacuum.    There are other players we're still trying to bring to Indy.

Things do NOT end today.     We'll likely sign more guys tomorrow and later in the week.

I'm fine with them at those positions but we need serious help on the D Searcy is gone now and I'm getting this bad feeling that we are gonna miss Fairley too

I kind of don't get this move. Yes, Cole is a pass rusher, but he's not great coming out of a standup LB spot. Maybe you move him down to the line for 3rd down but with the defense set up the way it is now, he's strictly a specialist. I guess that's fine, as long as it's cheap.

not sure about this signing.  From what I have seen, more of a 4-3 DE.

that argument gets thrown around way, WAY more often than it should.  Bottom line, is he's a stop-gap edge rusher, not a long term solution, so really it doesn't matter whether he's better as a 4-3 DE or 3-4 OLB

Colts play with a 4 man front the majority of the time anyway.

Adams price just went up. Grig's will get some help on D in here. I would be fine with the back end the way it was last year draft a S. There just isn't much out there in the way of S especially now that Searcy is gone not a big Moore fan.

It is the D Line we need to really upgrade. We got this.

It may appear that way but they play 2-gap defense on the line and bring the LB down. That's fine for obvious pass rushing downs, but you don't want Trent Cole trying to cover a tight end. He's pretty one-dimensional at this point of his career.

Good signing if they use him right, I just would rather see Newsome develop and add young depth at this position.

if we get Fairley I'm set I won't care about anything else that would be my perfect signing lol after him it's just bonuses

Lol nobody is going to make Trent Cole cover a TE. I don't know why you would even worry about that.
