Reggie doesn’t have the experience and ears of players of D and O together like an ST coach. Reputation alone doesn’t make him qualified. Bubba has the credentials.

Talent isn't the issue? Strausser is most likely part of the problem but the players look l

Can't block, can't run, can't pass.  All time pathetic

As negative as I have been about this regime, I never saw this season playing out this way. I saw different scenarios but never this.  That's what makes it all the more frustrating and very demoralizing. Looking back, the who coaching stuff and FO really missed on evaluating this Oline going into the season. This is an epic failure by a supposed strength of a team.

As sad as that is Ballard still had a chance to fix it before the trade deadline and failed.

good do you want to trade 3 first rounders for a QB and have no chance to fix the line ?   or just draft a QB with the pick we have and use the next couple drafts to fix it

You have no idea what I am even talking about. Pulling the plug on a season only 7 games in is so ridiculous in a league where there is so much parity when you are 3-3-1. Some in here love it when we just quit I guess. Unless you are like 0-6 or worse and have no chance, you don't do that. The FO and coaches are very smart, they know by playing Sam we had no chance. Everyone in here might as well talk about what QB we should draft next year. I would keep Sam as backup.

Anyone aww the bears score. Fields is growing up. Wow.

Bears have scored 33 on this same Pats team and took the foot off the gas, scored 29 against the Cowboys who have one of the best D's in the league, and have 32 today against the Phins..games not over yet. There were some people in a thread this week saying we are much better than the Bears lol!!

It's the zone scheme!!!! They will return to their all pro levels next year with new coaching so I hear!!

Scheme...LOL.  You'd think a LG taken sixth and worth $20M could plays more than one scheme?   I guess not.

i do understand what you are saying but it makes no sense the line is horrible matt ryan had lost the ball 20 times . colts had zero chance at winning a superbowl so they should tank its that simple

    • Colts are blessed to have such a great owner !
    • Okay, I know this is a Mr. Obvious post, but bear with me.  What else do you have to do during the dead season, lol?   As a Buckeye, I appreciate how good CJ Stroud is.  In MHO CJ had better WRs and RBs when he was at THE OSU than he has in Houston.   So how did TTUN beat us (bad) two years in a row when he was in Columbus?  Simple, their Offense was way better than our Defense.   Bottom line - the Colts D doesn't have to be great.  Average will be good enough - IF the Colts offense is as good as we think it could be and play ball control, has extended drives, and limits the other teams possessions.  And maybe that's the plan considering Ballard not being too concerned with improving the DB rooms.   (Sure, it would be nice to have a great D.  No argument there)
    • Hey Everyone,   So, I just caught wind of Goodson's apology letter after dropping that short pass from Minshew against the Texans last season. Here's my humorous take on the situation:   "Dear Fans, Coaches, Teammates, and Supporters,   I'm writing to apologize for buttering up that short pass in the most critical moment against the Texans. Look, I know I'm the backup running back, but hey, I'm usually good for catching those short throws - emphasis on 'usually'. My bad for turning a routine play into a blooper reel moment.   To my teammates, sorry for making you wonder if I was secretly playing for the other team. Next time, I'll practice catching more than just footballs thrown by the water boy.   To the coaches, maybe let's reconsider throwing short passes to guys who have hands that are more slippery than a greased pig at the county fair. Just a suggestion.   And to the fans, thanks for turning my drop into a meme. I promise to work on my catching skills so I can make highlights, not lowlights, next season.   Sincerely, Goodson (aka the running back who should stick to running)"   Okay, maybe I exaggerated a bit, but you get the gist. Let's hope Goodson has been hitting those catching drills hard this offseason!
    • I remember looking for highlights of TJ after we drafted him.  I kept finding videos of him following OJ Howard into the endzone.  Not sure if Howard was his responsibility, but it didn't paint a promising picture.
    • Ballard,   So, yeah, about that whole "bust" thing—I guess the cat's out of the bag. Turns out, I'm more of a popcorn fart than a thunderclap. My bad.   When you drafted me, I thought I was gonna be the Colts' next big thing. You know, sacking quarterbacks, making highlight reels, maybe even getting my face on a cereal box someday. But instead, I've been about as useful as a screen door on a submarine.   I've watched the tapes, Coach. I've seen the memes. They're comparing my NFL career to a hangover—starts off with high hopes, and ends with regret and a lot of Gatorade. And honestly, I get it. I'm like that guest who shows up to a party uninvited and ends up eating all the chips.   So, here's my mea culpa. I apologize for not living up to the hype. For every missed tackle, every missed sack, and that one time I accidentally tackled our own quarterback in practice (sorry, Philip). I'm like the guy who brings a guitar to a party and insists on playing Wonderwall—I'm annoying and not nearly as good as I think I am.   But hey, I'm not giving up. I'm hitting the gym, studying film (mostly bloopers at this point), and practicing my touchdown dance for when pigs finally fly. I promise to work harder and maybe, just maybe, I'll redeem myself and earn my place in the Hall of Mediocrity.   Thanks for believing in me, and letting me live my dream for 4 years straight whilst simultaneously producing nothing for your team. I'll make you proud yet, even if it's just by being the team's MVP of Bust Central, and we aren't talking bronze heads.    Sincerely, Ben "The Bust" Banagous (Not sponsored by Gatorade yet, but a guy can dream)
