Just watched it.. meh... looked like congested area and perhaps his feet got tied up with one his OL. Regardless, the pocket was held well for at least 3 secs, and looks like JB held the ball for at least 5.... Not great optics, but not a failure by Nelson.

I don't know why you do this.  You throw "everyone" in the same boat to gloat about you being right about something just because a small group of people disagreed with you about something on this forum.

 

For perspective, there are over 25,000 members of this forum.  Twenty five THOUSAND.  So if 10, 100, or even 1,000 people disagree with you in a thread, that's still a very small percentage of "everybody on this forum".

GMs scout lots of players,   they don't draft all of them.

Simmons is a great player. The titans took a chance that he would recover and boy did they get rewarded. I would of taken him without even thinking about it.

Right about what exactly? You're trying very hard to spin this narrative of being the lone voice of reason but I'm not even sure what you're on about half the time. 

 

There's wasn't exactly a massive push back against Simmons on here, and more was about his knee injury than anything. We've been burnt before on taking D-Lineman hoping they recovered from an ACL, so not too surprised that some people had doubts. 

 

Besides it's the draft, people will have hits and misses, the professionals certainly do.

It's not like you predicted 6 months in advance that Simmons was going to pancake Nelson.

 

And it's one play.  He's only played in 7 games, only has 14 tackles, and only 2 sacks.  We can agree that Simmons is "that guy" if he stays healthy, out of trouble, balls out, and becomes an All-Pro, but until then, he's just a good player and a good draft pick by the Titans.  And that's not enough to be in this thread beating your chest like King Kong.

If you actually watch closely, Castonzo's man takes a cut inside (or is forced inside by Castonzo), and both Castonzo and him prevent Nelson from planting and locking out.
