@GoPats Would you be interested in participating? The Pats are still available.

@Track Guy Hope all is well. It's been a while since I last crossed paths with you here...  Would you be interested in playing in this mock draft again this year?

@GOZER Are you interested in playing with us again this year?

Hey there! Thank you, but I'm all over the place work-wise these next few weeks. Have fun with it!

I am afraid that most of the players (GMs) may not have seen this post. Unless the "mention" is in blue, the member will not get the notification.

@csmopar  , not @csmopar

I'll let csmopar decide, but I'd say either 3 or 4 hours, depending on what he thinks is best. That'd keep the draft moving at a reasonable pace.

That could be a problem for those who have jobs. Not everyone has the ability to pick from a cell phone or their jobs may not let them have the opportunity to take the time?

It's no problem for me but it may be to some.

I have a request can we get an updated list of the top 200 prospects that are updated after each selection.

We did that last year and it really helped move things along.

Certainly. We should have that ready by the time we start tomorrow so keep posted!!

Any details for first time players ?

Give me a little bit and I'll get you the link to last years draft so you can see how it rolls! I'm away from my computer, but I should have it for you within the hour, unless @csmopar wants to share the link I sent him before I get the chance to!

It didn't seem to be a huge issue last year, but we will look into it and try to find a time that will work for everyone!

Thanks for the heads up, I just noticed that. I'll make sure to go through and fix that soon, unless Csmopar gets the chance to do that before I can as well!!

Again, before we begin, I want to sincerely thank everyone who is taking the time to participate in this. Our dear friend Gavin would be very proud and overjoyed to see this!!

How long do we give someone before it goes consensus

Like I suggested before, 90 minutes before it goes consensus, to keep things moving. That is why PM'ing is recommended, IMO.

That way 8 picks will get done in 12 hours. I am ready to participate.

If you know you won't be active around your selection please pm someone who is active and have them post it.

I was busy but tagged @NFLfan @WarGhost21 and @21isSuperman a lot last year!

I work Mondays through Fridays 9am to 5pm ET.  I will not be available to check the board much during that time unless I am scheduled to make my selection.

From 5pm to 10pm ET, anyone who will not be available to make their picks on time can PM me and give a list of the players to draft if the players are still available. List the players/prospects in preferential order.

As for 21isSuperman, I believe he said he will not be available much this time. That is why he decided not to participate.

We should have a list of volunteers who will be active on the board all day and are willing to be PM'd to make selections for others.

I'm good with that idea

Certainly. We should have that ready by the time we start tomorrow so keep posted!!

I miss Gavin's postings, I do not know what happened to the man but i'm glad to take part this year.

I'll let csmopar decide, but I'd say either 3 or 4 hours, depending on what he thinks is best. That'd keep the draft moving at a reasonable pace.

I'm good with this, however at the 90 minute mark, a consensus message will go out that way we can get a pick in, I dont want to  wait 3 hours and then start that consensus pool.

That could be a problem for those who have jobs. Not everyone has the ability to pick from a cell phone or their jobs may not let them have the opportunity to take the time?

It's no problem for me but it may be to some.

I have that covered, see below

How long do we give someone before it goes consensus

90 minutes, half of the allotted pick time.  Gives time for a consensus.

--------------------------------------------------------------

For clarity, this will be how things roll. Each pick/GM gets 3 hours to make his/her selection. However, after 90 minutes, I will send out a call for consensus suggestions, which will include the GM who's pick is on the clock.  Then, IF no pick comes in at the 3 hour mark, the consensus selection will be inputted. Now, if you're going to be away or worry that you may potentially be away during when your pick is on the clock, you can go ahead and send me a list of candidates in order of preference and I'll see that your pick gets filled with the highest preferred player left.  Make this list at least 5-10 players depending on your draft location.  IE: If you're picking mid round, I'd include more players than if I was picking 4th.  put your team in the subject header as well as which pick/round it is for.

Also, there will be a QUIET time for the draft in which no selections will be made and no one will be on the clock each day.  The quiet time will be from 10pm EST to 8 am EST.  If you're on the clock when 10 pm rolls around, the clock will be paused until 8 am. At 8 am, the remaining clock time will be started.

If anyone has any questions, let me know. DRAFT will start today, 5pm EST if there are no objections.  Below is the final list of all GMs.

I have a request can we get an updated list of the top 200 prospects that are updated after each selection.

We did that last year and it really helped move things along.

I'll try to keep up on that as well.  No promises on that though.
