I don't think you need to use the word 'probably'.....

I don't think anyone is going out on a limb to say that's EXACTLY the issue they're haggling over....

I think it's a lost cause, after negotiating with him for two days and no deal, I seriously doubt he's going to sign. We'll be alright without him.

Dhb took some time too so have faith. We haven't lost a single FA we wanted and we won't start now

Yeah, Grigson sees him as an addition to the RB rotation with a history of various injuries and a future the same.

Bradshaw sees himself as the star running back of the team.

Took DHB more than 24 hours to decide to become a colt. Bradshaw is probably waiting to see if there is any renewed interest. It might not be today, or even tommorow but I reckon he will be a colt.

Meh....I can take him or leave him...I don't think it impacts the Colts much one way or another.

Probably accurate,  91, he's shopping around.

He's better than anyone we have but he just wants to see if the interest in Indy will jack up the 'Benjamins' someplace else..

I'm just thinking of all the PROS & CONS of this situation and here's what I've come up with so far

Cons:

-Bradshaw gets severely injured and misses the season

-Bradshaw doesn't sign here and ends up being unemployed when he could've came here

Pros:

-We get the "Healthy" Bradshaw and he becomes a force to be reckoned with here with Ballard

-Major Boost to our run game which makes Andrew more comfortable. Since a QB's best friend is a good run game

-Bradshaw rushes for 1,000 yards along with Ballard (Has that ever happened in :colts: history?)

-We sign Bradshaw to a 1 year deal like we did DHB and make him earn a big payday so if he doesn't play well, we don't lose much (High Reward, Low Risk)

The Colts should go into training camp with the RBs they have. I don't see why they have to be looking for veteran RBs. I also don't see why they are going after an RB with some injury problems.

I like the group they have, they have a good starter with solid depth. If the group is under-performing during TC, then they could look for possible vets.

Personally, I hope this Bradshaw talks blow over and we stick with the boys we have.

I don't know how the forum will react to this...

And I guarantee the "hang up" is GUARANTEED cash...

For one year sure...  but AB is seeking his last BIG "CHACHINGGGG" contract...

If Indy signs him long term they will regret it....

Indy won't sign him long term or for big money. Bradshaw has zero leverage

Why are people so stuck on Bradshaw's injury history?  Even when he's been injured, he still hasn't missed a lot of games and he's still played better than some of our RBs when they were fully healthy.

If he signs, that's great.  If he doesn't, oh well.  To me it's obvious that they are not thrilled with the RBs that they have now and want to make some improvements.  It doesn't mean that the RBs we have are bad.  Maybe between Ballard, Brown, and Carter, neither of them are a complete RB that fits into the new offense.

Throughout the league he is looked at as older and injury prone.  however, if we sign him then I think we send him to Boston to the world-renowned foot specialist that Rik Smits used to go to.  This guy is good and I think he needs this type of specialist.  Get the nasty surgery over with now and then Bradshaw can be with us next season but not this one.  Grigson will not want to tie up that much money to send someone to the Boston Area Foot Specialist dude so I hope that Bradshaw agrees to do this.  Bradshaw has lost a step and lots of his strength but he is still a backup back worthy of a few bucks.  As long as he doesn't follow in Granger and Stephenson's footsteps and always wanting to go to strip-clubs all the time.

See that's the crap I'm talking about. Why is Bradshaw stalling? I know a player wants to get himself the best value out of a contract but at this point, he is a "show me" acquisition. I won't overblow his injury history but I surely won't make light of it either.

The free agency period is dead, especially for big bucks signings. He is lucky that we are giving him serious consideration. I for one, Ane one of those who does believe we need another back as I have little to no faith in Brown and even less in Carter so it would erk me if Bradshaw wasn't a Colt after we have reached out to fill a need.

On the other hand, I wasn't expecting that we would attempt to bolster the RB group so I was prepared (reluctantly) to go forward with what we had with hopes that Williams and Havili would get a lot of touches.

In short, I'd be ticked if Bradshaw let this opportunity (likely his best) pass by but I won't cry a river if he did.

SIGN THE FRIGGIN DEAL so that you can be available for the mandatory mini camp.

If I was Ahmad and I had taken the pounding that he has received in his life, knowing what is coming once he quits...I would get every stinkin penny I could get. Period. Location and opportunity plays some part, but he knows that whatever this next contracts guaranteed money is, might possibly be his last.

He recently had foot surgery in February so I don't think he needs any additional surgeries.  They removed a screw and replaced it with a larger screw.  He's already been fully cleared medically.  He probably has a couple more years left in the tank if he's not overused.  He's trying to get as much money as he can because this will probably be his last contract.

If we don't end up signing him, I think we will sign Hillis and that may even work out better..I personally want Bradshaw because he can get the TOUGH yards and he is the best blocking back in the game and would be a major asset for Luck....

I like the Hillis idea too, he was a beast in Cleveland for the most part. Then that would give us a proven powerback.

But I hope we do get Bradshaw, he will be a great 3rd down asset.

I don't mind this move cause I'm 90% sure someone in that backfield will go down, most likely Carter who's basically been invisible his entire time here in Indianapolis

Brown will miss half the season as usual...He can't be counted on to be the #2 back at all, and I have no reason to think different....This will help him stay healthy, and he can be a weapon if used the right way...Get him 5-10 touches a game and let him be a Reggie Bush type for us...He can't hold up getting 15 carries a game, but if we find the right situations to utilize his speed he can still be an asset, and I'm obviously not a member of his fan club, but we are gonna pay him regardless so we might as well get what we can from him if he has no trade value...In a perfect world we could trade Brown and a 2nd or 3rd to Jax for Blackmon....

Sorry for posting this here but I can not start a new topic.  Does anyone know who makes authentic NFL Colt hats?  Nike?  Reebock?

Thanks........need a Fathersday gift.

Used to be Reebok, but I believe they switched to Nike last season..
