Freeney and Mathis are not out. Mathis should be by weeks end IMO but I have heard nothing yet to imply Freeney would be and it's not unusual to me for Freeney to miss some practice time too.

I guess we'll see.

I would think that Connor could be a good OLB and use more of a 4-3 set.

But Freeney should be coming back this week.

I just feel like he has a much greater chance of success if given time to "get in the groove" so to speak. Everyone knows he played a 3-4 at Texas Christian, and that that is probably 75% of the reason he has been so invisible the last couple of years. All I am saying is that, who is to say that he can't reach his first round potential if given a lengthy period of time to adjust to the game in GAME situations in his natural 3-4 scheme.

He's been better when he's rushing the passer or chasing down plays...

But he's overpowered a lot........and I dont know how well he covers anyone..

Jerry Hughes played end in a 4-3 in college. I agree that he's better suited for OLB in a 3-4 in the NFL, and he's shown so far this season that he fits this scheme better than the 1-gap scheme we were forcing him to play in his first two years.

Yep, Freeney is playing even though he admitted that his ankle still hurts a lot. My guess is that Mathis won't practice this week but he will test his ankle before the game.

I am really curious about Angerer and Reitz.

Freeny not showing a strong agreement as a LB and Manti Tao coming up as a star linebacker passing up on him not not only stupid but suicidal too the kids plays smart and with heart. Which this team awfully does not have is HEART....
