Sorry. Just making a joke. These off-season guys come and go so fast, I don't even pay attention to them at all. I'm more interested in what type of detergent they use at the Colts compound than this random nobody who'll be gone by August. 

 

He's a perennial practice squad guy in his 30's......so I make jokes to amuse myself at the insignificance of it all.

I think we've got a lot of depth on the DL as it stands right now.  Who knows what the injury situation will look like when preseason is over, but if everyone is healthy I don't see him being anything but a practice squad guy if he has elig. left.  I know he was with the Jaguars for about a year as well so that could play into it.  He's got a hill to climb when you consider Art Jones, Chapman, Langford, Anderson, Parry, Hughes, Kerr, Quarles. It's doubtful, but even a guy like Okine could play into the mix. 

 

Pendleton has a lot working against him, but it's a plus that he already knows the scheme.

I apologize. Sometimes I think I'm being funny when really, people just want to punch me in the face.

 

I know this because often after I make a joke, people look at me and they, well.....they punch me in the face. Which wouldn't hurt my feelings so much if they laughed while they punched me, at least I'd know my joke landed well. Or they could laugh, punch me in the face, and then laugh some more. But typically there is no laughter. Just punching. Face punching.

He'll probably be competing for the last D-Line spot with Parry and Quarles if I had to guess. He didn't look too bad when he played year before last. I remember thinking he was young, like 23-24, and he ended up being like 30something lol.

      Come on now…  Lamar Jackson is a two time NFL MVP.   Justin Fields is entering his 4th season, and he wasn’t terrible with Chicago.    Anthony Richardson started 4 games for the Colts.  He’s thrown just 84 total passes.   We’re all pulling for the kid to succeed,  but he’s got a lot to prove before  anyone can credibly say AR is better than Fields or Jackson.    There are plenty of questions to be asked and the answers wont come until early next year.    We all could be having an entirely different conversation next off-season.

      People saying he was a run first QB never watched his college tape. I won't lead the witness, but you can make some basic assumptions as to why people believed that.   IMO, his actual football problems coming into the league were:   - bad footwork. Made him have some inconsistent, wild throws at times. - not that great at making easy, short passes. The layups, essentially.     I'd say in the short sample we saw last year, that the latter issue he dramatically improved on. For the former, there were still some erratic throws (when he missed, he really missed), but he also showed progress there a s well (his completion percentage in the NFL was 59.5 vs 53.7 in his one year starting at college. It's usually the opposite trend for most rookies)   I'm absolutely on board on AR becoming a franchise QB, the only issue he has is proving he can stay healthy. I also don't think calling out two minor injuries vs one major injury is enough to call injury prone, but he has to prove it all the same.
