why dont we use T.Y more like Percy or Cordarrelle

I have been wondering why T.Y isnt used more in the offense he needs the ball more he a big play waiting to happen, nd i got him on fantasy so i might be a lil bias lol

Patterson is a freak athlete and is gifted physically  so I wouldn't even compare him to Hilton. TY simply can't do the things Patterson can do.

Because of the difference in size and skills. TY is pure speed but don't have the greatest hands. Take a look at the other two you mentioned and there is a difference.

I'd certainly use him that way https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FYmbKz55ZEM, He is a shifty player, Don't know why some say he has average elusiveness, Personally I'd try to get him in open space rather then throwing screens to Wayne or Nicks trying to get them in open space like Pep repeatedly tries to do, Seems like a common sense thing to do to me or at the very least 5 minutes worth of watching tape on Hilton would make it an easy choice to make

It is. He's better than average but he's no where near as shifty/elusive as Patterson and Harvin.

Don't have to be as shifty as them...Though I think Hilton is plenty shifty enough, Just have to have a quick burst upon handoff and good field vision, He can make people miss enough

Which helps explain why he was drafted in the 3rd round, not the 1st, like Harvin and Patterson.

More because of his lack of size and the fact that he went to FIU and not Tennessee or Florida. Hilton is a very dynamic playmaker, and the Colts should absolutely be trying to get the ball in his hands in open space in any way possible, whether it be bubble screens, quick outs, or running him on reverses. Pep Hamilton needs to be more creativewith his playcalling than lining him up at fullback

Because TY Hilton is tiny and not built to be used the same way Percy Harvin is and Cordarrelle Patterson is.

It's not as if Hilton didn't see the ball tonight.    He was targeted more than any other Colts player in the game. Even more than Reggie Wayne.

People grumbling here are simply upset over the loss.

Dri Archer is even smaller and he showed what he can do in open space in the preseason catching the ball, Pep did a fine job of getting Hilton in open space tonight a couple times but he can afford to be more creative with him, The rest I agree with

Dri Archer, who went in the 3rd from Kent State, and D'Anthony Thomas from Oregon.

That's two guys in last year's draft who fit the profile.    The OP wanted to know why ALL teams don't draft a guy like that?

Because there simply aren't many guys that size who are fast and shifty and elusive and quick and who are also tough enough to take a pounding.

They're a rare and precious commodity.
