  1. It's the NFL and it's reality. It's not high school and it's not college. Running QBs will miss games. As a GM and/or a coach, you realize that when you make a decision which direction you want to pursue. Also, when they reach 29-30, they better have become a passer, because they lose the step or injuries have taken their toll and they aren't affective runners any longer. But here's hoping Richardson surprises many and becomes a much better NFL passer than he was in college.
  2. Ding, ding, ding we have a winner. AR is fine is there's a jailbreak, but let's face it, there's a reason there's only 4 starting QBs in the NFL that think running first as much as passing first.
  3. Totally would still take Caleb Williams, too. Nice objective opinion. But at least we can look at it this way, with AR's QB rating of 23 and Passer rating of 79, there's no where to go but up from here.
  4. It really is starting to look pretty bad, almost unraveling, when you may lose the best Rb in the league, have a qb that threw 17 TDs in college and several other holes to fill not filled in the offseason.
  5. We know this will be a learning experience for AR this season. What are your acceptable key results for Richardson this season?
  6. Hoping Richardson pans out, but unfortunately he appears to be what he showed in college. Decent runner but not much of a passer. Obviously preseason doesn't mean much, and it's too early to tell, but he wasn't a passer in college so not sure he'll pan out more than just a back up change of pace QB for someone. Still, being a major Colts fan, I hoping I am dead wrong and he turns out to be at least a 4 year spark and turns out to be at least a decent QB. Really hoping I'm wrong.
  7. Outstanding informed response. You are on the money.
  8. Hope you're right, but I'm thinking more like 15 TDs passing, 18 INTs and 8 rushing TDs. This gets most benched, but we'll keep this and see who's closer to right. Hope you are.
  9. Yes, I'm sure we are all hoping he brings his 17 TDs passing and 9 INTs to the Colts and his 2,549 yards to the Colts. That will make us become a Super Bowl contender.
  10. Matt Ryan happened to Woods. Excellent young TE has no one to throw to him. (And of course Frank is the main reason for not at least targeting him with play calls.)
  11. It's time for a change. Mr. Foles, Mr. Ehlinger, Mr. Painter or anyone
  12. Yep, Pittman is a #1 on the Colts only. He's a classic #2 since he doesn't have elite speed. We have no reliable WR with elite speed, and everyone saw that before the season except Ballard.
  13. And to add insult to injury, the teams we are losing to are just plain not good. Texans will be 0-3 after today, and we are so bad as fans that a mod said after our first game "who says the Texans are bad"? Well I did then and I do now. And the Titans are average at best. May as well start Foles or Ehlinger, can't be worse than this.
  14. It doesn't matter how bad the line blocks for you, as a QB you can't fumble 9 times in 3 and a half games no matter what.
  15. Matt Ryan, Gus Bradley and Ngakoue (is he even on the field ever) so good. Where would we be without these new additions this season??
  16. Good times, Matty Non-Ice fumbles, O line woes, D backfield woes, nothing changes
  17. I am not one that says we should sign every big name free agent or every big name "has been" such as Julio Jones or not a true #1 WR like Landry (4.7 40 guy that's been a solid #2 -already have that in Pittman). But honestly, Ballard has let several viable free agents sign with other teams and has not filled many of the obvious holes needed. In fact, we replaced 27 tds and 7 ints with an avg of 23 tds and 13 ints the last 3 years. Glad we jettisoned Wentz but Matty Ice never was Ice (reference taking a sack in SB vs. Pats when just needed to throw out of bounds and kick a FG). Ngakoue is a solid addition but not enough. Looking at 8-9 or 9-8 with this roster. Our 17th ranked defense certainly isn't scary and is mediocre (14-16th this coming year). Just wish I knew Ballard's plan, or now I honestly wonder if he's just a decent drafting GM, but not a good overall GM. We shall see. But in the mean time the true stars on this team are not getting any younger and wasting good years.
