You know what I want to find out, who was the bald headed guy with the helmet painted on his head that attended every Colts game at the RCA dome. He always brought the energy. They would always have him on TV.

Is this the guy you are talking about. I remember seeing him a lot

I keep seeing the video of CJ Stroud calling Indy a weak city and tbh I don’t really see why so many people are so angry about it he’s entitled to his opinion.

I mean… he’s the rival QB, so naturally he should support Houston and throw shade our way… probably how he hypes himself to play.

Yeah, he can say what he wants, it is his right. Then I can come back and say, Houston has had a weak football team compared to us since the division realignment in 2002.

Division Titles 9-6

AFC Title Game Apps 4-0

SB Championships 1-0

SB Apps 2-0

-Andrew Luck even punked them in the 2018 Playoffs at Houston!

Seems like people(neutrals) don't just think Houston will win in Indy. They are actively rooting for it. I guess it's somewhat understandable... wanting to get the the new hot thing at QB to the playoffs... I just really wish we play the spoiler this time. We need to set the tone for the next decade of AFC South football and IMO we need to do it now!

I have not seen this.

If true, I hate CJ Stroud now.

Not starting a conspiracy theory, but since the line on the game changed so drastically just like the Atlanta game, what does Vegas know?
we had a guy betting on Colts games last year, what if the take is on? I get it, it’s a pick’em game but what happened to cause the shift??

I am guessing that the Houston fans probably hate the Colts.

10 wins 32 losses one tie life time record Vs our guys. Tough to like a team that has owned you like that.

Past records don't count for anything on Saturday though. Just hope the good guys are ahead when time runs out.

No matter who was technically responsible for the protections, I agree that some of it is the responsibility of the QB. There were plays where Minshew appeared to have no idea where the pressure was coming from, which is very concerning just from a QB standpoint. If we add the backup center element, it's even more concerning.

Just to be clear here too I want to say I'm a big fan of what Minshew has done this season.  Where the team is right now...  Lot of backups wouldn't have been able to pull that off.  Watching how the other players respond to him, that leadership he possesses is a powerful thing.

I'd love nothing more than to see him take us on a ride here.  In a good way.

Most analysts and sportsbooks are favoring the Texans. That should give the Colts extra incentive. As far as C.J. Stroud calling the Colts weak, it doesn't bother me. If this helps him get ready for the game, it's no big deal. A lot of players talk like that to gain confidence.

Tbh the only way I see us losing this game is if we commit two or more turnovers that results in points for the Texans.  Otherwise I think we will win going away. Why?    We are going to be close to 100% healthy.  The Texans are missing their best pass rusher and WR.  They have one of the worst run games in the league.  Not afraid of that part of their game at all.  They are supposed to have a good run defense.  Well we counter that with a top five OL and some pretty good backs in Taylor and Moss.  I think we are balanced offensively they are not.  Stroud is there offense and we know it.  He’s recently returned from two weeks of concussion protocol.  I’m sure it was a scary experience for the young quarterback and now he has to go on the road to face the Colts for the first at a loud LOS to face one of the top sack front fours in the league.   He is definitely a good quarterback but I don’t think he has enough talent around him for this game.  As long as we don’t commit turnovers I can’t see us losing at home.  I think we will win comfortably actually.

I agree. Only way they beat us is, if we lose the Turn Over battle. If we don't turn it over and get a couple that gets us points, I can really see no way they beat us. I would let Stroud get his yards and just not break in the Red Zone, holding them to FG's. I would focus on stopping the run and take chances on SP Teams like trying to Block a punt, etc..

This why I wanted and didn't think AR5 would be drafted by the Colts, he's Boxoffice and marketable. But we did get him but unfortunately his season ended early but should be here a long time win or lose but lets win while were here.

Stroud has been the best rookie QB. For a rookie, has had a very good season, maybe great. Having said that, he has laid some eggs as well. He doesn't fear me like an Andrew Luck would as a rookie. As of now, IMO he isn't even a top 10 QB in the league, I would say top 15 though already. He does scare me mainly because he's streaky and in a 1 game elimination situation if he gets hot, we could be screwed.

2 things that will really IRK me is, if we turn the ball over giving them the game. 2ndly is, if we give up 1st downs on 3rd and 10+, If they continually get 1st downs on 3rd and long in a huge game like this, Bradley needs to go! If Houston can do that, just think what the Elite QB's will do to us.

IMO,  there would be no shame in losing to CJ Stroud.   Quarterbacks of his ability have won big games before.   Even if you think he’s ranked somewhere in the middle, that’s still pretty high for a rookie, and as you noted, he can get hot.

It'll be interesting to see what Bradley throws at him.   As others have said, this is a playoff game.   Win and in, lose and go home.   You have to incorporate some wrinkles.   Something unexpected.   A couple of key plays on a few key downs can make all the difference.

Can’t wait!!    :colts:

Should be a fun Chess match and a real entertaining close game. Can't wait for this one. All we could ask for is at least 1 game in January that is meaningful. We all could be talking about the draft about now, but the Colts have said - not yet.

Something I am concerned about is officiating. You know the nfl wants Texans and stroud in the playoffs.

I have that feeling as well. Sad to think this team could miss the playoffs by two bad calls. One being the Browns and another possible for tomorrow. If that Browns call didn't happen, or was corrected by the guys in New York, we would be leading the division. We would at least be the #5 and the Browns #7.

If it happens the nfl screwed 1 deserving team for 2 teams that really couldn't make it without help.

Lets just hope it doesn't happen. Otherwise, I will go back on my ranting about the REFS haha .

He's the best rook I've seen in a long time.  To the point where I wonder what happens when Slowik gets hired away which is almost surely going to happen.  I wonder to what extent things are simplified for him.  Will he be expected to take steps forward in year two under another OC, things of that nature.  Which would potentially lead to a dip in his play.

But just in terms of what he's done on the field I can't say enough about the kid.  He's better than I expected him to be, but I do wonder if he can sustain it long term which is no easy thing in this league.

This division going forward though at QB is dynamite.  Loaded with young and talented signal callers.  It's gonna be fun.

I am absolutely not going to subscribe to the conspiracy theory that the NFL is instructing the refs to make sure that a certain team wins.

The lid would have been blown off of that year's ago.   Some people think the games are rigged and you can't change their minds
