He was benched all game.  Belichick said it was a coach's decision, but there's gotta be more to it than that.  Your best DB was on the bench when your defense was getting picked apart left and right

Pats probably wanted to cheat and Butler wasn't onboard with it...lol

Is it a dynasty if you don't win 2 titles in a row?

meh 5 in 15 years as well as another 5 appearances, i would say that is dynasty worthy, but as i stated earlier, i will always see it as a tainted dynasty, due to the cheating allegations and the blatent favoritism by the refs at Gillette.

Just appearing in the title game isn't a sign of domination,. is it?

I would say dynasty means to dominate ..and dominate means winning at least 2 in a row

In other eras, more than one NFL team has won 2 Super Bowls in a row.

Got to win back-to-back

Yes, we certainly don't want to open that can again...  lol   Sorry.

And you are correct,  the best team won tonight.    I'm just a little happy...   getting a little carried away.

btw....  I think McD   called a great game,   I am so anxious to get him here next year.

McDaniels gave a good account of himself tonight. Hope it all works out for us.

Anybody coming out of the game should now see why pass rush is important. Especially the Saquon Barkley cultists. Get Bradley Chubb in here so we can start building this defense!

The last two Super Bows have been pure track meets.

Maybe that's telling us something

Dont know but I think it had to do with matchups. I know Alshon would have ate him up. Everything else the Eagles mostly worked the backs and tight ends. Agholar also.

He couldn't have been any worse than what they had.  Plus, he's one of their best defensive players.  When your defense is being torn apart, you need all the help you can get.  It makes no sense to bench one of your star players in the biggest game of the year

No cant be that. They had a corner in there that had played minimal minutes all year. He could have covered Torrey Smith. Must have missed a meeting or something.

Don't go to sleep! Lol......

I heard the exact opposite, that even if it's 30 minutes, that's better than 0, but I guess there's not enough conclusive evidence to overturn it.

So if it's not for disciplinary reasons or illness, what else could it be?  Did he have a tragedy in his family recently and wasn't able to practice or focus?

Idk, if I recall, they mentioned a coaching decision during the game

What else is there...for a starting player?  He wasnt held out due to lack of ability

I don't have a guess.

No idea! mind you I don't think he changes anything. The D was just plain bad tonight. Every damn pick in the draft needs be D help.

Surely he helps some. They were throwing all over the field. Not trying to pick but I gotta think it only took one stop and he could have helped with that.

Yeah, but what does that mean?

It's a matchups thing?  Malcolm didn't give them the best matchups for the specific defensive packages they wanted to run?  If that's the case, this is a horrible coaching job on the biggest stage
