LJpalmbeacher2
may be on the way out at LSU.I was wondering what some of you think about us hiring him. There are some other coaches in college I would prefer like Harbaugh, Urban Meyer, and maybe even Nick Saban though I really think he is a scumbag of a person. And Myles has a better chance of actually being available unlike Harbaugh & Meyer.

ColtRider
LSU would have to be out of their minds, along with the alumni to get rid of Les Myles. One of the finest collegiate football coaches ever. As far as Les going to the NFL? Could be a snowball's chance in an inferno. It would have to be one of the most overwhelming offers ever put out by an NFL team for him to leave the college ranks. JMO.

BOTT
Let me get this straight. Nick Saban is a scumbag, but you want Les Miles? A guy who called an 18 yr old kid a coward because he had the audacity to back out of his commitment to LSU. A guy who lets the team vote on whether a fellow player should get suspended for sucker punching another student.

If he tells it like it is then just say you don't give to %s what happened and I'm going to start Jeremy Hill. But not Les, he shifts the blame to the 19 yr old players. Yeah, Alabama is their thorn in the side. I think he's 5-7 there. Miles to me, at least, is one heck of a collegiate HC.

I never said Miles would be a good, very good, great, NFL prospective HC. I believe he needs to stay in the NCAA. And while we're at, go take a look at Miles' record while @ LSU. I'd take him to coach my NCAA team in a heartbeat, if I were an Athletic Sports Director looking for a HC and he was free to do so.As far as HCing in the NFL? You used the word "underachieved", Miles' record the last 6 seasons: 2010- 11-2, 2011 13-1(National title), 2012 10-3, 2013 10-3, 2014 8-5 and this year 7-3 so far. Those are great records for any program. Ask Texas and Nebraska about how they feel about their most recent coaching hires. I just shake my head at these situations because a guy who has gone 110-32 at your school shouldn't be getting forced out. It's ridiculous. ColtRider
If hes so special why is he on his way out ? Maybe in that 11 years there was more .Hey, Adonis 1, what's goin' on, man? Miles is on his way out because he's lost his last 3 games in a row & has a tough time beating Alabama. (5-7) Yeah, it's that simple. Yeah, over 11 years ...Never mind the Championships, never mind the SEC titles, never mind his incredible overall record, never mind how many times LSU has been ranked in the Top 5-10 nationally, never mind he's a great collegiate coach, never mind he's a great recruiter, never mind players love him. LSU wants a coach that never loses, and wins the national title every 3 years. Good luck.

I believe this is the only reason Saban would leave Bama....you lose two games and the seasons a failure. That's a lot of pressure no matter who you are...especially in a small college town. ColtRider
Les Miles WILL continue as LSU HC! Breaking news per ESPN after their victory over Texas A&M. He was carried off the field by his players. Best winning coach percentage over the last 25 years. .776 111-32. Over 11 years. LSU AD : "Miles is our football coach and will continue to be our football coach."Like I stated earlier in this thread. LSU would've been out of their minds to let Miles go.
