Why don't we have a good offensive and defensive line?

The defensive line was absolutely fine today.  I'd even argue that the DL played well, especially with 3 new starters (2 being rookies).  Henry Anderson and Parry both got penetration and pursued the ball like crazy.  Love their motors and athleticism.

The ILB play was borderline atrocious.  Freeman was over-flowing to the ball instead of controlling his gaps.

ILBs also missed a lot of tackles, took poor angles, etc.

OLBs did okay.  Colts were only out-flanked around the edges a few times but that's Shady's specialty.

This has ben the case too with D excuses since Manning days. At least he had an o-line. 10 years from now we will still be talking about need this, need that. It seems like other organizations and hate to say it; the Pats (who I can't stand) know what to do to balance things all around to not have a major weak spot.

imo that is because their head coach is also their gm, the rest of the league should have learned by now, you cant have 2 guys making player decisions, it equals bad players on the team, I blame irsay, for not hiring a talent who could do both

Very few people can handle, or want to handle, GM and Heads Coaching Duties.  Holmgren wanted to, couldn't.....

I personally thought the D-Line played pretty good it was the LBs where we had problems. The D-Line could have gotten after the QB more, but I liked them vs. the run. The O-Line though was pretty poor throughout the game.

D Line was playing very good until they got gassed they can only keep going so long when the O has a few quick possessions back to back .

Completely agree with this assessment

This is a Madden team.  Great QB and fast WRs on offense.  Shutdown CB and edge rushers on defense.  Accurate kicker and Boomstick punter on special teams.

When a Madden team goes against a traditional bully, we see what we saw today.  We used to see it when the Manning Madden teams had to play the Steelers, Ravens, or Pats.

In the offseason if somebody don't step up big time at guard. We need to throw buckets of money at Marshall Yanda. Or if he stays then we need to throw buckets of money at Osemele. One should hit free agency for sure. And one needs o be wearing a horseshoe.

We could have had Incognito for peanuts ... but everyone was so concerned about cupcake martin PC B$....
