INJURY UPDATE: The injuries continue to pile up on the Bengals, who still managed to score 34 points in regulation without their starting wide receivers.

Middle linebacker Rey Maualugaicon-article-link.gif (hamstring) and SAM backer Emmanuel Lamuricon-article-link.gif (shoulder) went down hard in the fourth quarter and as they coped with the serious injuries in the post-game it was hard seeing them being ready for next Sunday’s game in Indianapolis.

It’s believed that Lamur’s injury isn’t as serious as the shoulder injury that wiped out his 2013 season before it started, but he was in pain. He made the last tackle in regulation and if he hadn’t got hurt; the Panthers would have been scrambling to get set up for the tying field goal because they had no timeouts left. The clock stopped at six by rule with less than two minutes left.

There is also the unknown about when wide receivers A.J. Greenicon-article-link.gif (toe) and Marvin Jonesicon-article-link.gif (ankle) are going to return. As in, there is no time frame for either of them and there is some talk that they may think about surgery for Jones.

.

i believe after continuing to get treatment, he will likely play. their coach says , "day to day"

Day to day can easily mean 3 weeks. Pagano has been calling Art Jones "day to day" for about that long now. Only a twitter report but I did find this....Rotoworld...

Green does not have a tear in his right big toe and will not require surgery. But the issue is severe enough that he's already pessimistic on a return seven days from now, which is never a good sign. Green has a doctor's appointment Friday, at which point we should find out more. Mohamed Sanu torched the Panthers for 10-120-1 in Week 6.

Even without AJG,  this is not going to be an easy game.

There is a lot of talent on the Bengals roster.   A lot.   They're still the favorites in the AFC North.  They will be ready when they come into LOS......

Something is going on with their defense....   It's not playing up to par for them.   Hope they don't get things figured out in time for Sunday....

I expect a very tough game for the Colts.....  Very.

    • It’s a ripple effect.   Rome Odunze is still unsigned and that has a ripple effect on what happens to the WRs drafted after him, with agents closely watching. Last I heard, Brian Thomas Jr. of Jaguars, Xavier Worthy, Ricky Pearsall, Ladd McConkey, Jalynn Polk, are all unsigned, the last time I checked. All these WRs drafted before AD.   Watch, once Odunze signs, there will be a whole lot of reactive signings at WR position.
    • The key is waiting for a season to be over to see the whole picture. Your Pro Football Reference quote did that but @Defjamz26 was quoting that StampedeBlue article for a mid to early season drop rate quoted, which wouldn’t be something to rely on till the entire season played out.   The OP’s goal was however to shed light on college drop rates. Seems to me, based on everything I see, AP’s catch rate has improved in the Pros over college, another testament to Reggie’s coaching.
    • I think the Cubs will make the playoffs, better talent and management in the division.
    • I will just be happy if the Cubs make the playoffs. I thought they would be better than what they are but as long as they stay within playoff contention all season, it will keep me interested and watching. 6 teams get in and as of now the Cubs are tied for 6th in the NL.
    • Should’ve been 7-1 but Suzuki made a very uncharacteristic error.    My only wish now for the seasons is to not finish last place, but I don’t see Cincy climbing out of the doormat, it’s just too much of a hole.
