i don't understand why fans keep taking this jab, when in reality Gilmore did not want to be here.   What do you do with a player who doesn't want to be on your team?

Just when Cousins was playing great, he gets hurt. Non-contact injury. May be out for the season.   Our backup QB is injured too.

Is it development or just poor drafting? Everyone on this board goes all goo goo gaga when they post the players RAS after the draft. Some teams draft football players. Ballard prefers athletes who he hopes will develop into great football players. He tries to be smarter than the rest of the NFL. We'll where r we 7 years of him as a GM? Like icsaid when Rixhardson went down. Get ready for a long year and it will expose the poor drafting of Ballard.

I never thought he was horrible but there was a reason he was drafted so late.  However, not every great QB is drafted early obviously.  Go look at his college stats.  They were good but not great.  He never averaged much more than 200 yards a game and never averaged even 2 TDs a game.  I'm not bashing him, just explaining why he was drafted so late.  And whether people like it or not, teams that have a QB that can run like Mahomes or Hurts or making and winning Super Bowls.  Again, a lot of you are making a big deal off of one game.  IMO CJ Stroud has already shown he's a much better QB than Levis, as he doesn't have a great RB and doesn't have NEAR as much to work with as Levis.

Honestly don’t see us winning 2-3 more games with Minshew as starter.  Sadly this year went from hype to disappointment, as it’s just a slight improvement over last year.  Too many defenders hurt to be very competitive as well.

 

Trade up for Harrison Jr so we at least have something fun to watch.

Paye only had a TOTAL of 11.5 sacks in his ENTIRE CAREER at Michigan and Dayo was coming off an Achilles injury that robbed him of some speed so what do you expect? Once again that falls on Ballard!!!! As well as his LOVE for Gus Bradley as dc....

i agree ballard just projects higher than he should because they have high RAS .   paye didnt even get a lot of sacks in college and he is the same in the nfl .  ballard  does draft a lot of guys that arent busts and last in the nfl but a lot of them are just average starters

With who we are rolling out in the secondary now and how teams have exposed that, would not be surprised if Bryce Young sets a few career/season highs against us in several categories next week.
