  1. Pittman had a good game but Taylor didn't at all. 69 yards on 3 yards a carry. Glad we somehow managed to get the win though.
  2. Yeah, definitely agree with you. I should have specified that. Definitely need a pass rushing DE. Agreed.
  3. Small market/big market has little relevance in organizations that have a salary cap, ESPECIALLY with the NFL's revenue sharing agreement. The main argument for a salary cap in baseball is that the small markets will be able to better compete with the larger markets.
  4. A lot of people criticized taking a guard at pick #6, hall of fame or not. A game changing LT, sure, but not a guard. I'll admit that I didn't like the pick either, but I also understand why he was picked. Luck was getting destroyed behind a subpar offensive line and Ballard was under a ton of pressure to fix it IMMEDIATELY. People were legit worried that Luck may be paralyzed out there. I can see both sides. Like I said, I didn't like the pick, but I understood it because of the reasons that I mentioned. I don't care for Ballard, but that pick isn't something I would hold against him. My point is that Moose isn't the only person that didn't like the pick. There were some analysts that were critical of it as well. Genuine question - why are you so fired up at him for not liking that pick?
  5. Yeah, I literally just read through this entire thread and then questioned why I did. It just * me off lol. I don't have a problem with people like NFLfan saying they think Levis had a good game against the Steelers. I don't agree, but it's their opinion and I can respect it. They've also been willing to defend AR against all of the trashing that he's received. I really do think that some people (definitely not all or even most) have an agenda. I'm talking about the people that are laughing that he's injured, blatantly making fun of him, etc, and that's probably all I'll say before I start a % storm.
  6. Cam Newton didn't suck after his first few years. He won MVP in year 5.
  7. Yes, they are rookies, you're correct. The issue some of us have is saying that Levis had a great game. It was an average game. Take away the pick, and he would still be 56% completion, well less than 300 yards, and 0/0. How is that a good game? I'm all for differences in opinions, but some of these same people would be trashing AR if he had a stat line like that.
  8. My God. Some of you are so biased it's insane. In what world is 56% completion percentage, 0/1 a good game? If it was AR you would be trashing him.
  9. This is one of the most asinine posts I've seen on this forum, and that's saying something. If you hit your head hard enough, you get a concussion. Doesn't matter if the guy was 190 pounds or 300 pounds. I mean dang man, I'm one of those people that is worried that AR may be injury prone, but I remain hopeful. Seems to me like you're just hating on the guy just to hate on him. "He can't throw, he's not a real quarterback, he's injury prone." It's like you're reveling in the fact that he's on IR because you think it proves you right, and it's really sickening. Others have said they wanted Levis over AR, and that's fine. You, on the other hand, seem to get some sort of sick enjoyment out of his injury and just putting him down in general.
  10. Yep. Another friendly reminder - know who else has 4TDs and 0 picks in his NFL debut for the Titans? Mariota. I'm also pretty sure he had over 300 yards passing as well. Sooooooo again. One game. Against the Steelers he looked like a rookie. Way too early too tell how good he will be or act like he's the next Joe Montana.
  11. Yeah, still ticks me off thinking about it, the whole situation. Ben Wallace starting it, the * throwing a beer at Artest, and all the rest of the nasty Detroit fans. I mean yeah, if I was a player, who knows what I would have done if people treated me like that? At the time I definitely sided with our players. It's just that looking back, I wish cooler heads had prevailed...Yeah, that 98 team was probably our best. We had it! Just couldn't hang on. One thing that stuck out to me after I read the game 7 box score is that they outrebounded us by well over 20, and had a crap ton of offensive rebounds. I remember thinking that that was the difference in the game. Something that wasn't very noticeable while watching, but it made the difference.
  12. Okay maybe not. I'm probably still looking at it through the lens of the 12 year old kid that I was at the time. I literally thought every year was going to be a Superbowl year lol. I always saw the silver lining in all of my sports teams.
  13. I agree. Regarding Reggie, his team totally let him down during the "Malace at the Palace" year. That was his year to get a ring, and I really think they would have won it that year. They were showing they were the best team in the league until the brawl. All the pieces were in place that year. Still chaps my A that he didn't get a ring because of the immaturity of that team.
  14. Regarding #2. If the refs had flagged Stewart for stepping outside the end zone making him an ineligible receiver, if Quentin Coryat hadn't dropped O'Donnell's pass very late in the game thrown right at his chest!...If Bailey could have just hung on to that last second hail mary instead letting it roll out of his hands. I swear, every time I watch a replay of that final pass, I think he's going to catch it this time lol. So many IFs. I'm a homer obviously, but I think we would have beat Dallas in the Superbowl even though they throttled the Steelers. We had proven everyone wrong so far, and that playoff run was just magical. It almost felt like destiny.
  15. Oh wow. That's not good. What do you think of the sign stealing scandal? Big deal? No big deal? Or somewhere in-between?
