We’re having to work around Matt Ryan’s arm strength, rookies on OL and not enough ROI from the special teams return game thus forcing us to have no margin for error vs really good teams. A few bad sacks and a turnover, we can’t do enough to overcome those, except against bad teams like the Broncos

Team is the same with Reich or Saturday on offense. Doesn't matter. Only difference is this time we started fast and fizzled out. Always a one-half team. Not even worth watching.

Was for sure worth watching. Somebody needs to find something different to do on Sundays obviously.

Criminal that they didnt have some goal to go scheme with Elingher on a bootleg or RPO. I mean why spend all that time on the kid?

I'm not at all surprised that our O looks flat with a 30 year old calling plays for the second time ever.

It was competitive and we played a really good team. Better draft pick. I'm not losing sleep over it

Offense

-   Oline had trouble pass blocking against a strong defense and the run game died because of it.

-   Some BAD penalties on the OL cost us several drives.

-   Matt can't throw downfield without giving it an afternoons worth of hang time.

-   Matt taking another bad sack.

-   PC dropping a key pass.

-   JT fumbling again.

Defense

-   Stout but gassed because the offense couldn't stay on the field.

-   Yannick had a good game.

-   Moore still can't keep up...

-   Franklin's PI was terrible but probably a best case situation because it would've been a TD otherwise.

-   That last effort in the redzone was horrible... how can you NOT defend the running QB?

ST

-   Worst time to miss a 50 yarder, but I guess it's understandable even if it is heartbreaking.

-   Our return game has me looking through my fingers...

On a serious note - in this league without a great QB, you are going nowhere. Our defense has actually been performing on a relatively high level. And... so what? It matters naught if you cannot score and move the ball. We need a franchise QB. The sooner people realize this is PRIORITY No. 1, 2...5...10, the better. And we are better off losing games right now than winning. I'm sorry. Call me a tanker, call me a loser. I want this team to lose EVERY SINGLE GAME until the end of the season. We need a QB. We need the highest pick possible to get that QB. Nothing else matters right now. Until we have the QB nothing else matters. You can have the best defense in the league and it still won't matter at the highest level.

Well the short term boost from Saturday wore off after the first drive and the Colts reverted back to the same team we’ve seen all year.  Making key mistakes that kill drives on offense and a defense that panics at the end of games.

Parks did not do a good job calling plays today.  He was like Frank too stubborn to go away from running Taylor up the gut on first down all game long and constantly got the Colts behind the chains and this line can’t hold up after that to try to convert.  Then on the go line they finally called the cute play after they ran it on first down and got nothing when they Eagles would be expecting it.

This was one of those take your lumps games from Raimann.  In order to learn he has to play and he’s going to make mistakes.

The Colts had zero pass rush that wasn’t Buckner and Stewart.  They really miss Kwitty and Lewis.

Chase has been good but he needs to be replaced at the end of the year with a kicker.  That needs to be up there with the pass rush and RG this off-season as major needs beyond QB.

This game showed why the Colts are the Colts and the Eagles are the Eagles.  Eagles took advantage of their opportunities and the Colts squandered theirs.

Yeah I  thought once Frank was gone , they would turn the corner. The Oline is a disaster. Its not the scheme, this Oline is lacking talent. The talent they do have has regessed big time.If they have a good Oline, man this team may have 2 losses.

Our play caller should be fired.  He's the problem.......

But, we need a LT and a Qb with an NFL arm...like Ehlinger.

General

  • Yes, we needed Offense, but realize Philly is top 3 defense, and allows 18ish pts PPG..
  • We lost to a 8-1 team, who has the best record NFL... nobody picked us.
  • Coin flip game... the difference was the missed 50 yard FG .. not saying the missed FG caused us to lose, just saying it was that close.

Good

  • Ryan was 70+%, and made some big plays, with pressure in his face, vs the #2 pass D... and not INTs...
  • Parris and Pittman
  • Yannick and Dayo played well.

Mixed bag

  • D was great at times, super... but also super bad at times. No spying Hurts near the goal line? Moore looked lazy on several routes. And in general run defense vs Hurts.. 16 runs, and 5+ ypc.

Bad

  • Timely penalties. At least 5 on Raimann and Fries. Drive killers. And Franklin's PI on the RB killed us.
  • JT fumble, but at least we got the ball back.

JT cost another game. Many to blame but MATT RYAN isn't one to blame. He played a good game.

Penalties stooping the drives. Refs not calling facemasks. Franklin tackling a WR. Missed FG ( bound to happen kicking lots of 50 yarders).

I have never seen a whistle not blown for that long.

nonsense  matt ryan was at 30 yard line then get sack in back field cause kicker have 54 yard miss fg

I listened on the radio so forgive me if im a little off, but this was a total let down on both O and D! Offense, I still cant remember when they have thrown for a TD in the redzone!??? Its either a run TD or a fg! That last possession on O was pathetic! Ryan throwing on 2nd I think it was stopped the clock! Then that nonsense missed facemask call screwed us! It woulda been 1st and goal and more time coulda been left off the clock! Just no consistency from call nowadays! Total Bullhonkey! Then defensively, were they too tired at the end? I figured it was Kenny Moore that got beat on the TD!?! He should just sit the bench from here on out! This loss probly kills our chances of a playoff birth! The fat lady is warming up her throat!

Most depressing loss of the year. Ballard has spent six years and millions and millions on his beloved trenches and we can’t punch it in on 1st and goal to win the game. Hell, the O line is so bad we only tried one run. Penalties. Zaire’s *ic pass interference. We apparently didn’t realize Hurts is pretty good at running w the ball. JT’s fumble. Campbell’s drop. Ryan is so slow at processing in the pocket — note how Hurts just threw the ball away several times. Not hard. I’m open to Saturday and seeing what happens but get CB out of town. This loss 100 percent represents his style of football and team building. Depressing to watch.

Most kickers are not going to make that many 50 yarders. That’s on the offense.

This game pretty much removes us out of contention.

Missed FG cost us the game.

Raimann needs help at LT, need to stop leaving him on an island.

Need to stop running on first down exclusively, need to see more play action

Dayo 54 looks like he is developing well

Defense did pretty good most of the game.

Bradley should be shamed for not using a QB spy.

Franklin PI is the worst i've ever seen in football..

The Plilly D is ranked 3rd and the Colts Ranked 4th.    Our  D did pretty well against the top offense in the league.   Our offense also did pretty well against that D.    While our offense may not be a juggernaut it held up pretty well so not sure why besides the penalties and missed FG anyone can * about much with this game

If Franklin doesnt KO Sanders, it is 6 points. It was a heads up play.

Wanted to go to the casino but had no one to go with. Had to take care of my dog so I couldn't sleep through the game. Absolute horrible garbage on offense. Sorry I have standards after going through two horrible coach/gm combos and want to win again.

This just sucks because we are basically eliminated from the playoffs now unless we win out or at least 2 of the above .500 teams in the AFC just fall off a cliif. We are also probably going to win a couple more games, Which is going to put us drafting in the middle of the pack with a GM who has admitted he is scared to spend draft capital to trade up for a rookie QB. We are likely to have just the same amount of questions at QB next year.

Besides the the delayed draws and WR screens, I feel like Parks was fine.

Ppl convinced themselves that what the Redskins did, could be duplicated.

The O-Line got dominated after the 2nd quarter. Didn’t seem like there was much separation from anyone not named Pittman.

Redzone offense still blows.

Defense gave use a chance even with a lack of pass rush.

Where MAC on the fade? No back shoulder throws?

I think the worst thing of those losses (and we had a ton of the last few years) is, that the other team isn't just outplaying us at every level and we loose by a wide margin. The thing that is most fans p****** off, we keep on loosing because of our missed opportunities. We are basically in every game. But we are always fighting hard to loose it seems.

Not blaming them for this tough loss but the refs hardly let both teams play today and called a lot of ticky tack calls today. Overall not has mad about today's loss as past others.

You do know.. Philly is a top 3 defense...

Sarcasm fail..... lol

LOL, Marcia.

Top 3 by stats though, so its not like they really are.

But Rosman > Ballard.  Went and got what they needed.  WAS showed how to beat that ("Top 3" by stats but not really) defense.

I agree. We're not going to pick high enough to get a top 3 QB.

Get the best LT or Edge, get the "worst" out of it next year and pick your QB.

You say Parks did fine and the proceed to lay out poor play calling decisions by him.  Parks did not call a good game today.  It’s the same three plays over and over and once the Eagles figured out and adjusted the Colts just kept calling them and kept going three and out.  He has to adjust to what the defense does and he never did.  Had that been Frank today people would have been screaming for his head and rightfully so.  Let’s hold Parks to the same standard and just admit when the play calling isn’t good enough.

Either that or Ballard needs to go all in on the QB and trade up. I kinda think with how hot his seat is, this year Ballard won't have the choice to just wait.
