  1. I agree. I definitely don't like some of the moves Ballard makes, but when he speaks he is usually pretty transparent.
  2. I'd only want Deebo for maybe a 3rd round pick due to his contract, age, and health concerns. Still could be a fantastic weapon for a few years, but he was injured a ton last year.
  3. Ballard admitting they were trying to trade up for a WR at least tells me that he is serious about wanting to add an elite weapon (not just good) to his team. Plenty of people, including myself, thought he wasn't serious about making that move, it would cost too much, etc. Maybe he calls up the 49ers for Aiyuk, who could fit that elite bill pretty well, and is still pretty young.
  4. Out of the WRs left, the ones I like the most are AD Mitchell, Ja'lynn Polk and Jalen Coker.
  5. I'd like to get Mitchell, but he's probably going at the top of the second. Not to big of a fan of any of the other WRs projected in the second round. Most of the top talent at that spot were taken in an extremely offense centered round 1. Based on what Ballard said in his presser, he does realize that this team needs an explosive pass catcher, which is why he wanted to trade up. Maybe a trade with the 49ers is an option here. It could help explain why Buckner's contract was restructured.
  6. If they aren't better than Pierce, then I'd hesitate to say they're good lol.
  7. I mean we did get the first defensive player off the board at 15. If he offered a lot to trade up it most likely meant that he wanted to get one of Nabers, Odunze, or MHJ. Who knows though, maybe we trade our second (and probably a bit more) for one of the 49ers WRs tomorrow.
  8. Seems like Ballard tried to do a lot this off-season (signing Hunter, trading up), but it didn't work out. That sucks. I kind of wish he wouldn't have admitted that lol.
  9. Sacks are just pressures that were finalized, no? The fact is that Paye/Dayo, who are a 1st rounder and a 2nd rounder respectively, are being demoted in the depth chart for this guy, which is what originally annoyed me with this pick as this essentially indicates that the front office missed on these guys (and Banagou). I don't know much about Latu himself or his talent, so I hope Ballard finally got this one right
  10. While I agree that the Colts FO should be dinged for their past misses at DE (and they've been misses with high capital), it's not like DE is a spot that you should ignore a potentially elite player at, even if we're okay at the spot. I'm way more concerned about his injury over drafting a DE, albeit I'd prefer getting the top corner. Ballard's pass rides on how this team does with AR at the helm. If that doesn't turn out well, anyone who keeps supporting Ballard is crazy. We haven't seen how that looks like yet.
  11. Paye - 1st Dayo - 2nd Banagou - 2nd That's a ton of backups that Ballard and team have picked at DE. I mean, yes it is. I don't know enough about this guy to say much about him, but this pick essentially means that Paye and Dayo are being relegated to backups (who cost a ton of capital). The fact that his university (Washington) told him to retire due to his neck injury is extremely concerning. Especially after all the fun stuff we as Colts fan went through with Leonard. I hope it works out but I definitely didn't think pass rush was a big concern for the Colts. I'd rather have picked CB if we were going to go defense.
  12. Oh and now I'm finding out he was told to medically retire due to a neck injury. Fantastic. Surely that can't backfire. I hope he's the exception to all the DE misses this front office has had at high spots during Ballards tenure. I remember when we were all high on Paye as well lol.
  13. There's plenty of active people on this forum in the last year or so that actively look to insult/berate people they don't agree with, especially towards Chloe and a few others. I've been on this forum since I was like 13 in 2009 and it's been pretty rough reading a thread now without some sort of squabble happening lol. Maybe it's a product of the social media age, but it's frankly annoying that some people aren't able to just ignore something they don't agree with, or at least attempt to make a response that isn't a cheap shot.
  14. I don't think it's smart to give up on any QB that is essentially in their rookie year in regards to playtime. Ballard already noted when AR is drafted that he'd take some time. The only way I see AR being gone next year is if there's a clean sweep of Ballard and Steichen. I doubt that happens even with an awful season.
  15. We trade up in the 4th round by 5 picks. Ballard isn't bold. He's safe...
  16. Ballard should have never cut him. I want Ogletree on the team as well considering charges were dropped (I believe), but his whole fiasco with his fiance where battery might have been involved was way more of a sensitive topic and understandable of being cut for than Rodgers friend betting 1k on his account on a Colts run stat over/under. That's the worse thing Rodgers was found guilty of, and now we have Colts fans trying to convince themselves we need a RD1 CB pick after 3 were chosen in last year's draft... He did a podcast detailing what he bet on with Franklin and Speed in case others haven't seen it. Much ado about nothing imho and it's obvious the locker room still like him/didn't think he was negatively trying to affect the outcome of games, and they would know best on that over anyone.
  17. How? Did I insult someone? I just said that it seems people in this thread seem to be fine with Ballard doing what he's always done, despite a lack of success. That's just an opinion, and one that others share. You could retort: "Yes, despite his record, I feel like this team is in good shape considering the franchise QB didn't play last year and we had an above .500 record. We should trade back in order to deal with depth in a ton of positions where it's incredibly thin such as LB, CB and Safety". Or you could just post a condescending gif. That's on you though.
  18. He just posted a gif of a dude making a stupid face to my original post. That isn't sharing an opinion. I'd very much prefer someone telling me why they disagree with me or telling me why I might be incorrect lmao. I don't hold my opinion sacred or anything I promise but the point of the forum is to discuss things amongst fellow fans and not make snide, surface level replies. We aren't in high school.
  19. Okay then. I'm sorry for sharing my opinion on my favorite football team that others also seem to share (probably for a good reason) on a football forum.
  20. I'd imagine he's going bald. Most men his age usually are when they start sporting the caps 24/7.
